This impressive and sunny stone property is situated in a beautiful area on the outskirts of the village of Porreres, surrounded by olive and fruit trees and with stunning views of the Mallorcan countryside. It is a large house with large bedrooms, a large living room and a spacious kitchen, as well as several terraces and verandas to enjoy the good Majorcan climate.
As soon as we enter the main entrance, we have an idea of what we will find: a spacious and well furnished room. On the right is the living room, equipped with air conditioning, with a sofa next to a large SMART TV with satellite reception. There is also WiFi throughout the house and outside. In the central part of the same room is a large dining table next to large windows that let in natural light. And on the left side, a traditional wood fireplace, next to the kitchen, open type. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need: Dishwasher, oven, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, coffee maker, crockery, cutlery, juicer, etc… From the kitchen you can reach the laundry room with washing machine, iron and ironing board.
The natural wood is present everywhere in the house, from the stairs that go to the first floor and the beams, to the hammocks and the parquet in the rooms, everything gives us a beautiful and cozy appearance.
The house has 4 bathrooms, 2 with a bathtub and 2 with a shower. All bedrooms are double bedrooms with double beds, fully furnished, with wardrobes, chairs, desk, TV and more. Everything for our comfort. All the rooms on the upper floor have their own terrace with a beautiful view of the horizon for total relaxation. The house has air conditioning in the living room and from June 2019 there will also be air conditioning in two bedrooms. You will work with hours: from 23.00 to 06.00 (dormitories), of the day in the living room.
The outdoor area is another privilege of this farm, where we find a large pool of 10×5 meters, equipped with comfortable hammocks and a shower, right next to the barbecue and also a playground for children. All this surrounded by a beautiful Mediterranean garden, very well maintained with trees and plants of all kinds. It also has a playground for the little ones of the family: slide, swings and basketball basket.
It is a house of great quality, spacious, very well equipped and designed to relax and enjoy a well deserved holiday.
Son Mainou is located on the outskirts of Porreres, a small town in the centre-south of Mallorca, between the villages of Llucmajor, Montuiri, Villafranca, Felanitx and Campos. With a population of 5,200 in 2015, it is a very quiet and traditional city. Here you will find a wide range of shops and supermarkets where you can do your shopping, as well as various bars and restaurants and various historic buildings worth visiting, such as the church or the Monte Montion and its monastery. In Porreres there are also two wine cellars produced in Porreres, a weekly street market (Tuesdays in the morning) and several craft shops and typical products of our island.
The nearest beaches are Sa Rápita, Es Trenc and Ses Covetes. Famous for its high quality, cleanliness and crystal clear water. The next one is Sa Ràpita, ideal for families, and is about 30 minutes away from the Son Mainou estate. You can also reach the city of Manacor (15 minutes by car) or Palma de Mallorca (about 30 minutes by car) and enjoy a wide selection of bars, restaurants, shops, cinemas, etc. The access road to the farm is paved up to 200 metres in front of the house. The land is surrounded by a stone wall and a fence over the wall, and the entrance door is a large barrier that can be opened and closed by a remote control. The area is very quiet, with very few neighbours. Without a doubt, this house is a privileged place to spend your most beautiful days of the year with your family or friends.
