Fish recipes for Good Friday: 3 quick – delicious ideas

On Good Friday, traditional recipes are prepared with fish. They are accompanied by a light sauce, boiled potatoes or some bread. The fish can also be prepared in a completely different and extremely varied way, we prove to you with these four ingenious Good Friday recipes.

Healthy and varied: that’s why more fish should land on your plates

Fish has one big advantage: it goes pretty much with all kinds of herbs and vegetables. If you have children who don’t like fish so much, you can bread fish fillets and fry them in butter. I’ll bet that’s how children like to eat it. And it’s healthier than fish fingers from the freezer!

Recipe for fish fillet in roasted paprika sauce

You need:

  • 450 grams white fish fillet
  • 3 teaspoons butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 170 grams roasted paprika, chopped
  • 170 grams roasted paprika, pureed
  • 170 grams cream
  • 50 grams Parmesan cheese, grated
  • salt
  • Pfeffer
  • Parsley, chopped

Melt two teaspoons of butter in a frying pan and fry the fish fillets on each side for 3-4 minutes. Season the fillets with salt and pepper. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Melt a teaspoon of butter in the same pan and fry the onions until translucent. Add the garlic cloves, chopped and mashed peppers. Cook for 5 minutes.

Stir in the cream and Parmesan cheese. Turn down the heat. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Place the fish in the sauce and cover with the sauce. Garnish with parsley and grated parmesan.

Recipe for crispy fish tacos

You need:

For the lime cream:

  • 60 grams sour cream
  • 3 tsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • Lime zest of 1/2 lime
  • 1/4 tsp salt

For the coleslaw:

  • 200 grams white cabbage, grated
  • 15 grams coriander, chopped
  • 1/2 spring onion, cut into thin strips
  • 1 clove of garlic, pressed

    For the tacos:

  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 2 tsp cumin, ground
  • 2 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 450 grams white fish fillet
  • 8 taco tortillas
  • 1 avocado, cut into strips
  • This is how it works: Mix all the ingredients for the lime cream together in a small bowl. In a big bowl mix all ingredients for the cabbage salad.

    Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Mix vegetable oil and lime juice with all spices in a small bowl. Turn the fish in the marinade. Place the fish on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Place in the fridge for 15 minutes.

    Bake fish in the oven for 9 – 10 minutes until done. Heat the taco tortillas according to the package instructions. Fill the tacos with the fish. Cover with avocado slices and cabbage salad. Top with lime cream.

    Recipe for fish fillets in mustard sauce

    You need:

    • 200 grams fish fillet
    • 4 teaspoons butter
    • 60 grams cream
    • 1 clove of garlic, pressed
    • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
    • 1½ TL lemon juice
    • salt
    • Pfeffer
    • 1½ Shallots, chopped
    • Parsley, chopped

    And this is how it works: Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Place the fish in an ovenproof dish. Season with salt and pepper. Mix butter, cream, garlic, lemon juice, salt and pepper in a microwave-proof dish. Heat in the microwave twice for 30 seconds and stir well.

    Sprinkle the fish with shallots and add the sauce. Cook in the oven for 10 – 12 minutes. Place the fish on a serving plate. Cover with sauce. Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon slices.
