About four to six weeks later, the clincheck is ready and the result can be discussed. If the finished clincheck matches the patient’s wishes, it will be confirmed and the splints will be made. Within a week, you will be brought to your dentist in Munich and the treatment can begin.

It is very important, however, that before starting the Invisalign® treatment, the gums are and the teeth are caries free. In some cases, the wisdom teeth must be removed before treatment.

How often do you have to come to the practice?

Every two weeks, the rails are changed. However, this does not mean that the patient has to come to the clinic every two weeks. I give the patient between two and three tracks, which he changes on his own every two weeks.

What happens when you finish the treatment? The teeth stay in this position forever?

Retention of the teeth is a very important factor in any orthodontic treatment. What is a Retainer? There are two different ways to fix the teeth. Either a thin gold wire is made in the in-house laboratory, which is not attached to the inside of the teeth disturbing adhesive. This retainer should be worn for at least 7 years and in some cases longer. Another alternative is specially made retainer rails, which only have to be worn at night.

Only by the retainer technique can you keep the straightened teeth permanently in the normal position.
