12:00 – 12:45: Cooking show with Boris Lauser: wild cocoa and medicinal mushrooms
Boris has been offering raw food cuisine at the highest culinary level for 10 years now. Not only are his creations incredibly delicious and visually stunning, they are also functional and beneficial to the body and health. In his presentation, Jan Peifer presents the new campaign of the German Animal Protection Bureau entitled “TRUCK YOU – animal transports do not taste good” and describes why it is necessary to drive into the inner cities of Germany with an original livestock truck and to transport people via livestock trucks and the Clarify factory farming. “More than 3.7 million animals are transported via Germany’s highways every day and that’s what we want to make visible,” says Jan Peifer, CEO of the German Animal Protection Bureau.

People have a growing appetite for meat and dairy products in China, where a quarter of the world’s farmed land animals and more than half of the world’s farmed fish are reared and consumed. As a proponent of plant food, it is clear that any approach that seeks to be effective on a global scale must include a strategy for entering China.
In this talk, Doris Lee first discusses the factors that shape current Chinese dietary trends. It will then review the work of local Chinese groups committed to promoting plant-based nutrition and reducing animal consumption, as well as some of the challenges they face. This paper demonstrates the importance of cultural and political awareness of effective international advocacy.
