Tickets and audioguide worked well, better with leadership

The transaction was smooth. However, it was a bit confusing to assign the numbers to the right houses. It took a long time for us to understand that we only hear the corresponding text at the white signs. Overall, we recommend a guided tour as the terrain is huge. It is important to know that you can replenish water on the site, but this water does not taste good and is lukewarm. In the kiosk the prices are very high and the employees were completely overwhelmed because of the crowds. Unfortunately we had to break off about half of the time (also because of the high temperatures) and did not see any important parts. With a guide we would have seen more after 3 hours.

Findings about life about 2000 years ago

After knowing a lot of information about the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, we wanted to know more about the event and life in Pompeii. Our tour guide Vincenzo has given us explanations about types of volcanic eruptions in general and about the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in the year 79 during the trip to the archaeological sites. Vincenzo was able to shine with good background knowledge. Also in the tour of Pompeii, he gave much additional information and led us to the main sites of the excavations.

Pompeii and Vesuvius were great. Organization can be improved.

We were picked up in Positano with 2 minibuses and changed into a big bus in Salerno. The ride from Positano to Pompeii took 2 1/2 hours. On the way back even longer because of heavy traffic. If you had driven directly from Positano to Pompeii, you would have had more time there. The organizer wanted to have paid for the transfer 16 € / person extra. That was not previously agreed and therefore he did not get. Pompeii and Vesuvius were very worth seeing.

A real alternative for people who want to save TIME !

Everything went well. The designation of the meeting point on the voucher should be even clearer. We came by car and "circle sparkled" in Pompeii around until we with "by asking" found the ticket counter. For people arriving by train / bus it is easy.

Ticket – great! Audio Guide long wait (only 1 switch open)

Get a ticket as promised at an extra counter – no wait. However, the specified extra switch on the audio guides was not open. Only a switch for all was open, waiting time as all other participants about 1 hour.
