11 indoor activities against the Hamburg manure weather

The 11 best cafés in Hamburg for breakfast

You can rely on Hamburg: fish sandwiches are available all year round, the jukeboxes of the Hamburg pubs always have (!) Hans Albers and the nights are loud. However, if you can’t rely on one, it’s the weather. Plans are quickly made – but if the rain shower hits, then it can be for several days.

Together with Jochen Schweizer, we thought about 11 activities for you that are guaranteed to keep you dry (ok, maybe not with whiskey tasting) and storm-resistant to make a nice day.

Action & tension

Do you want to pull the trigger as a pacifist? This is completely injury-free at the Lasertag in Hamburg. Shoot your way through courses and overwhelm your friends with your own battle tactics. In Capture The Flag mode, you have to bring the other team’s flag into your own territory. Defeat the opponents with laser mines, but be careful not to step into one yourself!

© Rabatzz Hamburg Off to the bouncy castle in Rabatzz!

After a visit to Rabatzz, you go straight to the bathtub, because here you start to sweat a lot. Whether on the bouncy castle, in the ball pit or playing hide and seek in the giant climbing frame – dad can’t resist here either. The Rabatzz is ideal for celebrating birthdays. The cheapest birthday package for just under 20 euros per child offers a colorfully decorated birthday table, snack items and a surprise bag for the birthday child and much more. Hold my shoes, mom! I want to jump to the bouncy castle immediately.

If it winds and storms outside, you could also keep yourself warm with a good dose of adrenaline. At the crime thriller dinner you shouldn’t feast in peace as you have to find out who is actually the killer now. The gardener? Was it suicide? Find out with a delicious four-course menu – vegetarian if you wish.

© Jochen Schweizer Switch your opponent in bubble football

If you consider what Ewald Lienen had to put up with in his life, we are afraid. We tend to use other means if we want to kick a round. With bubble soccer you can see whether you are as accurate as Messe and Ronaldo or if you miss the goal chronically like Dennis Diekmeier from HSV. Anyway, you will have fun either way!

Relaxation & Sports

Everyone can hang out in the whirlpool! The best way to find out how to get from A to B under water is to find out from the diving course. You can get the internationally recognized diving license in various Hamburg swimming pools. If you want to swim next to a mackerel or just want to find Nemo, you will definitely do this in the practical final test in open water.

© Black light district in the dark: Mini golf in the black light district

Who didn’t like to play mini golf as a child and missed one or the other player a bruise or even a tooth gap – accidentally, of course? The black light district offers the opportunity to experience this success again. It’s dark here, the 18 ½ hole courses are only made visible by black light effects, you can move from one fantasy world to the next – it gets even more exciting with 3D glasses.

© Bäderland Hamburg Swimming in the Holthusenbad

Therme, sauna, swimming area – a few hours in the bubbling water or sweating on the towel can easily let the stress of an entire week fizzle out. Anyone who likes to get naked for the beneficial body-and-mind combination treatment knows, however, that where it is really stunning, the prices usually knock you over. Even in the Hamburg area, we couldn’t find a wellness oasis that would have to be paid for regularly even on a tight budget. Our best tip is to jump out of bed early. If you still have half a day to go on holiday or you have to go to university later anyway, be sure to use the morning for conditions that are often significantly cheaper. Our favorite when it comes to value for money is the Holthusenbad. Mondays and Wednesdays only girls are allowed to mess around in the sauna!

© Das Hamam Relaxing together in the hamam

The hammam is a place for two types of people. Those who like it very warm and those who appreciate massages, who are sometimes more reminiscent of spanking. As a thank you, those who get through this get a back that is deeply relaxed for weeks! The plus on the couple’s trip to the hamam: when you return from the arms of the hairy, moist, huge man who is rummaging through your bones, you have a familiar damp, hairy arm that you can snuggle up to.

© Jochen Schweizer Making a ring at the blacksmith workshop

Traditional craftsmanship has been on the decline in recent decades. However, some companies still hold the flag, such as the traditional Hamburg smithy. At the ring workshop you can create your own, individual ring. Unlike the hobbits, you can keep your newly forged piece of jewelry instead of throwing it into any volcano. Is also relatively difficult here in Hamburg.

© Jochen Schweizer Tickle the palate while tasting whiskey

The days of whiskey cola are over! Whiskey works even better in good cocktails or just pure. Not only Hamburg bars are now much better equipped than a few years ago – the scene of whiskey connoisseurs is also growing steadily. With Whiskey Tasting you will not only experience that whiskey is more than Lemmy Kilmister’s favorite drink – you will also learn what the term actually means peaty means.
