The best thing is to introduce activities that will help your child relax. Some suggestions include taking a warm bath, giving a body massage, or scratching your head. You can also dim the light and read a story.

Your child will become calmer, relax and, as a result, fall asleep and sleep through it faster.

2) Go to bed late

Children between 3 and 7 should sleep at least 9 or 10 hours. This is one of the reasons why pediatricians insist on an evening routine. It allows us to set times and activities that are performed before bedtime.

3) Overstimulation in bed

In this new technological age, many adults have made it a habit to take their cell phones to bed with them. If this is the case with you, you should leave it immediately. The same goes for your child.

It is also a no-go to watch television before going to bed, especially at high volume. All of these habits distract and keep your child excited. Create a calm and pleasant atmosphere that will let your child relax. Then sleep consequences.

4) Let your child fall asleep in their parents’ bed

This should happen as little as possible. When children get used to falling asleep in their parents’ bed, they don’t learn to fall asleep alone. Then they don’t go to bed until mom or dad are at their side to fall asleep.
