5 Reasons for a family vacation in malta, malta

Sunny family break in the Mediterranean

The archipelago of Malta is an ideal holiday destination for the whole family, with the best sun and bathing weather well into autumn. After a short journey (the flight time from Germany is just over two hours), the three family-friendly islands – Malta, Gozo and Comino – await you with wonderful nature, cultural highlights and a variety of varied sporting activities.

City tour with a difference

With many exciting hiking trails, the islands can be explored on foot in many places. A round of sightseeing on four wheels is just the ticket. In Vittoriosa, one of the impressively beautiful Three Cities, opposite Valletta in the Grand Harbor, you can rent an electric golf cart for up to four people from "Rolling Geeks". The small E-carts are equipped with GPS and automatic city tour also in German. So you can go on a personal discovery tour through the narrow streets of Vittoriosa, Cospicua and Senglea go.

The most direct way back to Valletta from the Three Cities is by water taxi through the impressive harbor. Let yourself be skipped over the Grand Harbor in small wooden boats and experience Valletta’s gigantic fortress walls from an extraordinary perspective.

The finest bathing fun

The crystal-clear Mediterranean water and secluded bays promise the finest bathing fun: whether for snorkeling, building sand castles or just splashing about in shallow water.

The bigger ones are enthusiastic about kite and windsurfing, climbing and bouldering or a kayak tour from Gozo to the Blue Lagoon on Comino, the smallest island in the archipelago.

Attention little speleologists

A very special family outing in Malta leads to the impressive rock caves of the Blue Grotto, which can only be reached from the sea.
