Welcome to Costa Adeje

Discover Costa Adeje

The holiday destination Costa Adeje has almost seven kilometers of beach. The palm-fringed promenade has a great selection of restaurants, bars and designer boutiques. The area has developed strongly and has become a bit more diverse and modern, because once the coastal town of Playa de las Américas was rather known for more rustic, British-style pubs.

About Costa Adeje

The town of Costa Adeje is today synonymous for the new and more advanced Tenerife, because by investing in the millions could the rather bad reputation from the eighties be discarded.

  • On Tenerife is the third largest island volcano in the world, the Pico del Teide
  • Tenerife has the same flag as Scotland.

Places and accommodations

The decision to stay in Costa Adeje depends heavily on the beach you would like to stay close to. On the southern coast is the Playa del Duque beach with white sand and azure waters. There is an elegant shopping center and guests also have the opportunity to be exclusively massaged directly on the beach – if they do not shy away from a corresponding surcharge. Also very popular is Playa la Pinta, but it can be quite busy there in the high season. However, the lovely kid-friendly sandy beach, where all the necessary facilities are located, promises a bit of tranquility from hectic activity. Playa Fañabe and Torviscas spread over two places and are collectively known as the golden beach. Crystal clear waters, sandy beaches, and easy access to the sea make this area especially popular with older travelers.

activities

In Costa Adeje, you can not only find perfect sandy beaches, because the shopping, the good food and the places to play golf are attractions that also appreciate many holidaymakers. The Playa del Duque shopping center features a flea market twice a week, as well as many designer boutiques and shops that offer some good bargains. The marina also invites you to stroll. If you are tired of looking at the fine yachts, you can take a boat tour to see whales and dolphins instead. The beautiful golf course called Golf Costa Adeje is located near the fishing village of La Caleta and with its 27 holes is ideal for spending a sporty relaxing day. For those arriving with children, Siam Park is probably a welcome attraction as it is considered the largest water park in Europe. In addition, there is a spa.

to eat and drink

The extensive modernization of this part of Tenerife has led to a major expansion of the culinary offer. In addition to the fast food, which is still popular with many tourists, there are now numerous fine restaurants serving international dishes. Two particularly excellent places in Costa Adeje are the Monte Christo and the Coeur de Filet. The former is a popular Italian restaurant, located near Playa Fañabé and praised for its antipasti, pasta and meat dishes. A three-course meal costs a moderate 40 euros and is served by friendly and attentive staff. The Coeur de Filet is also a very fine dining establishment with a fantastic menu, influenced mainly by French but also Italian and Spanish cuisine. All in all, there is a large selection of pubs scattered throughout the promenade that offer the typical, freshly caught fish. Especially in La Celta, excellent seafood restaurants enchant visitors with a candlelit dinner and sunset views.

Arrival and transportation

Tenerife South Airport is 60 kilometers from the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Many flights arrive on Tuesday and Thursday, which is why these days at the airport is also very busy. Up to the holiday areas in the south of the island you drive only about 30 kilometers and the highway itself, the so-called TF-1, is located very close to the resort. By taxi you can easily get into the place and depending on the time of day and number of passengers you pay for the trip from the airport about 25 euros. Near the Magma congress and art center, where Costa Adeje and Playa de Las Americas meet, is the bus station. There is also a shuttle that runs from Fañabe to Torviscas on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between 10am and 10pm. With this free transport you can get a good overview of the resort and its main attractions.
