Requirements for training as a medical assistant
Medical assistant is a recognized apprenticeship according to the Vocational Training Act (BBiG). This nationwide training is offered in the liberal professions and takes three years. As a rule, you need a medium level of maturity or a higher education qualification, but under certain circumstances you can also be admitted to training with a secondary school qualification. You should bring a friendly and sympathetic demeanor, empathy and empathy, as well as a careful and above all hygienic way of working. In addition, you should have no problem dealing with patients and seeing blood or other body fluids.
Activities of the medical assistant
Medical assistants not only support doctors with treatments, examinations and the care-taking of Patients, but they also take over secretarial and administrative work, such as coordinating a smooth everyday clinical or practice routine and operating and using electronic data processing programs (EDP).
