Our opinion

The KITA flea box was created in 1996 and has been looking after children with and without disabilities.

Our daycare center offers a stimulating environment in terms of social, physical and psychological skills. We give the children good conditions to learn, understand and experience. Regardless of origin, religion, level of development and disability.

All children acquire their world knowledge in the same way, namely through play, the most elementary form of learning. It is important for our work that we adapt to the children’s pace of learning, because children themselves determine what and how quickly they want to learn and can.

The KITA is located in a traffic-calmed residential area. Our three groups have group rooms, ancillary rooms, washrooms, differentiation rooms, therapy room, exercise room, staff room, an elevator, barrier-free toilet, a kitchen, laundry room and an entrance hall. Our spacious outdoor area is laid out on two levels with play equipment, sandboxes, diverse planting and a large stock of trees. All groups have access to the outdoor area. Both levels are connected by a staircase, a path and a slide.

We have been a family center in North Rhine-Westphalia since 2008.

A healthy and balanced diet is important to us for the children. This starts with breakfast. Fruit, vegetables and various types of bread are always on the breakfast table, which we prepare for the children.

Our housekeeper prepares lunch fresh every day. This enables her to take food allergies and cultural eating habits into account.

Our daycare center has a nutritional concept. In June 2014 we got the certificate for the "Healthy Kita" of the city Bergheim, preserved.
