How to become a pediatrician?
Do you love children, are empathetic and want to help others with your job? Your biggest wish is to become a pediatrician? In order to fulfill your dream, you first have to study medicine for 12 semesters, which ends with the second state examination. Then you have the opportunity to specialize in pediatrics or pediatrics. This specialist training takes another 5 years for you. In the position of pediatrician, there are various possible uses. You can find out what an exemplary working day in your own doctor’s office looks like below:
8:00 a.m.
You arrive at your pediatrician where your helpers are already waiting for you and have received the first patients.
8:30 a.m.
You ask the first little patient to come to you in the treatment room. Max, 2, suffers from excessive salivation. You suspect a sore throat and want to get to the bottom of the diagnosis with a smear. Since the child cannot really be comforted by his mother, you have to act quickly. A little later you will get the result, which shows that you are correct. You prescribe an appropriate drug.
10:00 a.m
Mr. Schuster comes to you with his one-year-old Leon. To lure the child out of the reserve, you hold out various pictures with simple symbols and ask him what you can see on them. The little one shows no interest. On request, you find out that he watches a lot of television and advises the father to let Leon watch TV for a maximum of 20 minutes a day, since this is not suitable for children under 3 years. In this case you will not find a real illness.

Since the waiting room is filled to the last seat, you forego your lunch break today and only reach for your sandwich between treatments.
14:00 clock
The next patient is already waiting for you. Amelie has been touching her ear more recently, and secretions are running out of the ear canal. You assume a middle ear infection in which the eardrum has ruptured. You prescribe a special juice and give the family a referral to the ear, nose and throat doctor.
4:30 p.m.
9-year-old Katharina then enters your treatment room. In the presence of her mom, she tells her that she is currently very tired and drinks a lot more than usual. You become sensitive and refer them to a children’s clinic for metabolic diseases because you think the disease is diabetes.
6 p.m.
The last thing that awaits you today is a child who should get the flu shot. Due to Jakob’s anxiety, you ask his mother to hold hands so that he does not accidentally injure himself with the needle and you can carry out the vaccination well. In the meantime, you can speak to him calmly to take away the fear as much as possible. After a few seconds and a beep, he’s done it. A colorful plaster makes your little protégé happy again.
6:45 p.m.

Your career prospects as a pediatrician are currently very good.
