Berlin food: top restaurant in Prenzlauer Berg

In Berlin, the restaurant is probably not in Berlin, but it does not even have to be in Prenzlauer Berg dead!.

It’s been a while since this restaurant came into my mind but it took a long time to finally go there. When I was in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg. So I called and reserved a table for three.

This is definitely one of the top restaurants in Berlin.

The menu: short but very promising. A red pepper cream or oysters are what you can as a starter. Both come with bread, butter and cream cheese.

For main course you have to choose between four options. At the time we did it was: fillet of black butt, asparagus with tarragon hollandaise sauce, coq au vin or steak fries.

Finally we ordered three different dishes so that we could all taste as much as possible. Smart, right?

Fresh salad with strawberries and asparagus. This was so delicious. Than the main courses were served.

The hollandaise sauce with tarragon which was part of the asparagus dish was stunning and the coq au vin just incredibly tender and flavorful. So the steak fries – oh my gosh, all of it was fantastic!

I’m happy to get a small glass of mousse au chocolat in the end.

Beside the dishes the staff was fantastic: Attentive and friendly. We have really felt welcomed.

And now the best thing about this top restaurant: As we are used to it, Berlin food is not cheap even when it’s high quality. 3-course menu cost only 21 € per person excl. drinks. Believe me, it’s more than worth it.

So I’ll come back for sure!
