Blood glucose levels obesity: the interplay of values

Blood sugar obesity: the interplay of values

The Blood sugar levels play a central role in the body and should therefore be checked regularly. Especially if it is a patient with overweight. Because not only in diabetics can lead to changes in blood glucose levels.

How are obesity and blood glucose levels related??

Blood sugar levels and obesity are not a typical combination for many people. Nevertheless, when searching the Internet quickly it becomes clear that there is really a connection here and this is not to be underestimated. Blood sugar is the amount of glucose that is in the blood. Glucose values are given in mmol / l and one mg / dl. In a healthy person, the values range between 60 mg / dl and at most 110 mg / dl. However, the value may well be higher. The reason is to look into taking the last meal. If, for example, blood is taken directly after taking a meal, then it is possible that values of up to 140 mg / dl will be displayed. However, this is not a concern as long as the values are otherwise within the normal range. This is not the case for overweight people. Here the average values are 126 mg / dl and more.

Problems with elevated blood sugar

If people are overweight, then it may well be a reason that metabolic disorders exist. In addition, there are often elevated levels of inflammation in those affected. In this connection, inflammatory proteins are produced by the liver and TNF-alpha release occurs. The cells are no longer sufficiently supplied with energy. In this way, the blood sugar is no longer in the required amount in the cells. This leads to possible reactions of the body:

  1. The energy consumption decreases
The energy supply of the cells is reduced and this is passed on to the body. The result is that the body shuts down its activity and consumes significantly less calories. This increases the body weight without the patient doing anything for it.
  2. Sugar becomes too fatty
Sugar in the blood is naturally the main reason for a too high blood sugar value. The problem is that more and more insulin is released and therefore the fat cells and their energy are no longer used. This increases the blood sugar levels even more.

Consequential diseases that may be caused by blood sugar levels and obesity

A very important factor in terms of increased blood sugar levels and obesity are definitely the sequelae that can arise here. There are different diseases that are supported by the constellation:

  1. Diabetes mellitus as a serious factor
Those who hear the word “blood sugar levels” will probably think of diabetes. This is a perfect combination and if insulin levels are permanently elevated, then it is also a danger that diabetes can develop. The blood sugar value does not go down and the body produces significantly more insulin. This leads to an overload of the pancreas and thus to the development of diabetes mellitus.
  2. The fatty liver
Too much cholesterol in the body can promote fatty liver. Obesity significantly increases cholesterol levels. Blood vessel walls are damaged and arteriosclerosis can occur. The body is then no longer able to remove the cholesterol from the liver in the long run. The fatty liver is therefore only a matter of time.
  3. Stroke risk increases
Stroke is not a rare consequence in overweight people. The entire cardiovascular area is overwhelmed and overloaded. This can lead to a heart attack or a stroke.
  4. Tumors can arise
Tumor formation depends on various factors, including blood sugar. Therefore, studies have shown that excessively high levels can affect tumor formation. Particularly affected are the areas around the uterus, the breast, the kidneys and the intestine and the prostate.

Neither a radical diet nor instant competitive sports are healthy for the body. It is important to change the body step by step. (# 03)

First Aid – a whole new life

These factors, which should not be underestimated in terms of blood sugar levels and obesity, should make it clear to people that action must be taken quickly. Therefore, it is important to begin as soon as possible with the change of life. This applies both in terms of sports activities and in terms of nutrition. A healthy diet should be gradually phased out so that it can be sustained in the long run. In addition there are regular sports activities.
