The US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, in partnership with Bugaboo Americas of El Segundo, California, announced a voluntary recall of the over 7,000 Bugaboo Bee strollers in the United States and 260 in Canada and over 64,000 car seat adapters.
Danger: On the Bugaboo Bee strollers, the front swivel wheels can lock while the stroller is in motion, causing the stroller to tip and putting autumn at risk.
Disorders / injuries: Four cases were reported where the stroller locked swivel wheels and the stroller overturned. In two of these incidents, a baby and a toddler suffered minor injuries.
Description: The recalled walkers are made for newborns and toddlers up to 37 pounds. They are sold in two frame colors: silver and black. The buggy seat is available in black or print jeans and canopy colors are yellow, black, khaki, blue, pink and red, as well as special collections of colors such as tangerine, soft pink, green, dark purple, denim and the Missoni collection.
