A trip in a convertible or a move in a van? Through the cooperation with book-n-drive this is possible at a reasonable price.
the asta of darmstadt university has agreed on a cooperation with the regional car-sharing provider book-n-drive. Car-sharing via book-n-drive allows the use of the entire vehicle pool – from convertibles to vans – both in darmstadt and in the region (z.B. dieburg). Via the association with other car-sharing providers (z.B. Flinkster) use in other cities is also possible.
The campus tariff is particularly favorable for students. Compared to the regular offer of book-n-drive, the campus tariff has the following advantages, otherwise the conditions are identical:
- No starting price
- free safety package, in case of damage only 300 EUR deductible instead of 1.500 EUR
- 10 EUR starting credit
new: online activation
This works in cooperation with RMV, but also works for students with an additional e-mail:
- After registering on the website, book-n-drive sends an e-mail informing about the two activation options – either on site in a sales office or online via the partner RMV and idnow.
- Online activation required? simply register with your email address and password via the link on myrmv, then select "ID check" and "book-n-drive.
- the ID check with idnow begins: download the "idnow" app to your smartphone, scan your driver’s license and ID card, take a selfie – done!!
- Book-n-drive will activate your account within two working days and send you your customer card by mail.
- For students: in order to be activated for the campus tariff, the current matriculation certificate must be sent separately as a scan or pdf to book-n-drive, stating the customer number.
Rates
Currently book-n-drive has two different tariffs – basic and subscription – which can be changed with 2 weeks notice to the end of the month.
The basic rate is free of charge, you only pay for the actual journey (time & money) kilometer) and a basic price i.H.V. 2 EUR charged. The subscription rate includes a monthly fee, but the time units are cheaper and the basic price is included. For more frequent trips, it may be worth comparing the rates.
Note: travel cars are currently available in limited numbers on hugelstrasse and rheinstrasse, but there are currently no travel vans in darmstadt!
Registration
It only takes a few steps to get your first ride: simply register online and then go to the asta office (darmstadt or dieburg) to have it activated and pick up your mobility pass (note: currently not possible in!).
Once you are activated, all book-n-drive car-sharing vehicles are available to you around the clock, from one hour to several weeks. Via the association with other car-sharing providers (z.B. Flinkster), it is also possible to use the service in other cities.
Register
- Register via this link: book-n-drive.De/campus
(attention: if you register directly with book-n-drive, the campus tariff cannot be granted immediately. The regular contract will then be concluded and you will have to take care of a change to the campus tariff on your own by sending a current certificate of enrollment.) - The contract must not be printed.
Reserve
- Vehicles can be reserved immediately after registration
- Online reservations are free of charge, telephone reservations are subject to a per reservation fee.
Activate
- Come to the asta offices in darmstadt or dieburg
- Have these documents with you:
- Valid identification card or residence permit. passport and registration certificate to prove the address is also possible.
- (EU) driving license
- Campuscard (student ID)
- Bank card or other proof of the account
Exceptions
Problems may arise in individual cases, in particular:
- in case of negative schufa information
- You don’t have an EU driving license, but your license is still (temporarily) valid in germany, because you live in germany for less than six months.
Please contact our offices if the regular offer is not possible for these or other reasons. We find a solution.
