Frequently asked questions about child accounts
Child accounts are opened with Baader Bank as the custodian. Unfortunately, our partner ING is currently unable to offer custody account management for minors.
A distinction is made between three cases:
a) Children younger than 10 years:
Please send us a scan of the child’s birth certificate.
b) Children older than 10 and younger than 16 years:
If a signed passport or ID card is available, the identification can be carried out directly via the scalable customer area. Please note that we do not accept a child’s passport.
If this is not the case, please send us a scan of the birth certificate by email.
c) Children older than 16 years:
The identification can be made directly via the scalable customer area.
After receiving the online registration, we will send you an email with the necessary information about the identification process.
Both legal guardians can be identified via PostIdent. If you already have an account with us (with a custody account at Baader Bank), verification for the account holder does not apply.
After receiving the online registration, we will send you an email with the necessary information about the identification process.
Yes, if the custody of the minor is shared, the consent and verification of both parents is required.
If you have sole custody, we need proof of custody for this. As soon as we have received this, your sole consent is sufficient. If the legal guardians’ last names differ, proof of custody or a marriage certificate is also required.
Please fill out this additional form. Then send this signed back to us (a scan is enough).
