Disabilities and chronic illnesses are a difficult lot for disabled children. They are often excluded from activities or have to keep to themselves because their illness limits them too much. The Kroschke Children’s Foundation supports projects that enrich the lives of these children, that tear them out of their everyday lives and enable them to have a bit of normalcy and participation in social life. These can be very different projects, for example a vacation time with other children and young people. The greatest wish for others is to simply communicate because they cannot learn to speak. Electronic means of communication offer great opportunities for this. For disadvantaged and traumatized children, drama can be a good opportunity to develop self-confidence and find their own forms of expression, such as in the project "The child in the box – theater work with children’s homes". Riding therapy in turn has many positive effects, it can alleviate suffering, have a positive impact on personal development and promote social skills. And soccer? A soccer tournament can also create common ground.

The state association for physically and multiple handicapped people in Schleswig-Holstein wants to enable families with handicapped children an unlimited participation. You are supposed to thanks to the project "The main thing is family – inclusive, inclusive and networked" no longer move in special worlds.
