Student children receive a children’s board and a child’s bib from the Studierendenwerk. In the cafeteria on the Adenauer Ring there is a playground for small children with toys so that the adults can dine in silence.

Changing rooms are located in the entrance area of the cafeteria area and in the entrance area of the student house. Some of the Studentenwerk houses are also suitable for single parents or married couples with children. In its own kindergartens in the cities of Pforzheim and Karlsruhe, the Studentenwerk offers 84 kindergarten places for 1 to 6 years.

Within a semester, the Studentenwerk and the university organize an in-house parents’ café. The Studentenwerk in international Studentenwerk looks after both pregnant women and students with children.
