Opening of the neanderland STEIG discovery loops

The circle Mettmann has with the neanderland STEIG explorer loops Inaugurated numerous new circular hiking trails. The individual loops lead the visitor to different topics through the neanderland. Sometimes it goes through quiet nature, sometimes past historical architecture. The routes are suitable for small walks and longer day trips, especially since they are between two and 19 kilometers long. Sporty demanding people find hilly paths, families with children and seniors can enjoy flat and easy to hike trails. All explorer loops are over the 240 km long neanderland STEIG connected with each other. The starting points are easily accessible by public transport and the car.

To the Start on 19.04. Thirteen explorer loops were opened by District Administrator Thomas Hendele. By the end of the year, it will be 26 with a total length of around 270 km. The new hiking offer originated from a cooperation project between the district of Mettmann and the ten district-based cities. For the first time, we have bundled all the important information on the 17 stages of the neanderland STEIG into a compact overview flyer.
