It is a box that costs about 12 € and contains everything you need to Make sushi needed – so, for example also the mat used for rolling.
Meanwhile, we have come to the taste and make our own sushi regularly. So today I want to show you how easy it is!

- Sushi roll mat ->bamboo mat to curl up
- rice vinegar -> if necessary, you can also use mild / diluted normal vinegar
- Nori seaweed for maki (the classic small rolls)
- avocado or cucumber, salmon, tuna, etc. for the stuffing
- Soy sauce
Also yes as needed:
- Inlaid ginger
- Wasabi (spicy horseradish paste -> I do not like it personally)
- rod

Step 2: Rolling the sushi / maki
Since the rice after my first sushi try between the bamboo mat stuck, I now wrap this with Cling film on. Then I halve Nori sheet and distribute something rice on the middle / lower area. Then the filling comes to it – so z Avocado strip, Salmon or cucumber. To the sushi roll glue together after rolling, I moisten the top with water and then start rolling the algae leaf carefully from below with the mat.
The finished one Sushi Roll (I have packed this too full) I cut into 4 equal pieces (-> the threads of the bamboo mat serve as orientation):
And this is the result: Certainly not perfect, but delicious! Now only something is missing Soy sauce for dipping!
Here you can curl up again in one short vidWatch eo:
And when I think about how much money we have compared to visiting one Sushi restaurants save, it tastes twice as good! 4 Nori leaves are enough (if I share them) for 8 x 4 = 32 small maki rolls. There are also 200 g rice and 1-2 avocados – that makes approx. 5 € for 32 sushi!!
