The mascot parade on Katschberg
Another highlight of your summer holiday in the Katschberg holiday region is the Monday mascot parade. The many mascots of the different businesses on the Katschberg meet at the village square and wait there for the visit of the families and children. Falky, Bollo, Katschi, Rocco, Katschling Junior and Katschlinchen hike with you through the centre of Katschberghöhe.
Every Monday at 15:30 the guided musical hike with the mascots of the Katschberg takes place. The hike starts at the village square on the Katschberg and ends at the horse centre and the Katschhausen children’s adventure world. Once there, you have the opportunity to try out free pony riding. Due to the water aversion of some mascots, the parade only takes place in dry weather!

Katschi’s Goldfahrt – The summer toboggan run at Katschberg
Katschi’s Goldfahrt focuses on the history of mining and the search for gold on the Katschberg. The ride on the toboggan run takes you through the Goldgräber Haus, over a winding forest path into the dark tunnel to the glittering interior of the mountain and to the gold laundry. After the adventurous ride and lots of fun along the interactive trail, you’ve earned some peace and quiet. On the wind-protected and sunny slope Herzbankerl and Herzplateaus invite you to relax for children and parents.
The exciting summer toboggan run will be open in good weather from 16 June 2019.

KatschTIERade play trail – a theme trail for hiking for the whole family on the Katschberg mountain
Also this summer the holiday region Katschberg waits again with the KatschTIERade – a play path by the place Katschberghöhe! The exciting theme trail is a great destination for the whole family.
Visitors of all ages can prove on a family holiday whether they are as skilled as the animals on Katschberg. Who jumps as far as a hare, is as smart as a fox or can climb like a squirrel? The KatschTIERade in summer is set in the centre of the Katschberg, the Katschberghöhe! A play path runs right through the centre, where new, high-quality wooden play equipment can be found again and again, e.g. the ring snake for balancing, a climbing frame, a forest telephone and much more!
The children can record the services on the KatschTIERade on a great scratch card, which is available at the Katschberg Tourist Office. Depending on your skills, a small reward awaits you at the Katschberg Tourist Office!
GPS treasure hunt at the Aineck in Austria
The special family hike in the holiday region Katschberg. A special highlight in summer at the Katschberg is the modern scavenger hunt at the Aineck. The active treasure hunt, combined with a hike, starts at the Aineck and awakens enthusiasm and desire for hiking among children and adults alike.
For all families there are different packages for the GPS treasure hunt incl. ascent, GPS rental device and treasure map, which are available at the valley station Aineckbahn. Finally equipped with a GPS device, the chairlift takes you up to the Aineck. Once at the top, all adventurers can use a GPS device to track down the small treasure chests in the Aineck area.
The GPS treasure hunt on the Aineck is a perfect hiking experience for the whole family. The opening hours of the GPS Trail depend on the opening hours of the Aineckbahn am Katschberg.
