Bavaria at a glance
Hello in Bavaria!
If you spend your family vacation in your own country, Bavaria should be at the top of the list of possible travel destinations. The reason is obvious: the largest federal state in Germany in terms of area is so diverse that a vacation will hardly be enough to explore it.
A summer at the lake
In summer, Bavaria attracts you and your family to the many beautiful lakes. One of them is the Chiemsee. You will see the water from the highway and you will certainly fall in love with it. You can cross the sparkling water by boat and spend a wonderful day on the men’s and women’s island. But the Königssee in Berchtesgadener Land, Lake Starnberg and the many other sparkling blue pearls will surely inspire you on your family holiday in Bavaria!
Fun on the slopes in winter
The family hotels in Bavaria are also well filled in the cold season. This is not surprising, since the Free State turns into a white winter landscape that invites you to go skiing and snowboarding. Tobogganing and extensive winter hikes are also on the program. You can of course climb the mountains that you whiz down in winter just as well on a hike in summer.
Now it is up to you: you and the children only have to decide whether you would rather spend your family vacation in Bavaria in summer or in winter – if the vacation budget allows, it is best to test both. Bavaria is always worth a visit!
