The bachelor’s degree in fashion design at Trier University of Applied Sciences is based on the specific professional profile of the designer. In the bachelor’s degree in fashion design, the focus is on the creative-artistic discussion, from basic research to concept and design to implementation, in accordance with the specific professional profile of the designer. At the same time, the students deal profoundly with art, social and cultural studies topics.

In addition to the study semesters, the bachelor’s fashion design also includes a practical semester, which can be completed as a design internship, as a semester abroad or as a practical project at the university.

An extensive range of subjects and events helps the students to set individual priorities. The last semester is used to prepare the bachelor’s thesis, the so-called Bachelor thesis.

The bachelor’s degree in fashion design then opens up numerous perspectives and opportunities. For further qualification or specialization, Bachelor graduates have the opportunity to pursue a master’s degree. This postgraduate course increasingly prepares you for independent and initiative work as well as also on managerial positions.

The fields of work are in all areas of the fashion and clothing industry: fashion design (DOB, HAKA, casual / sportswear, KiKO) as well as in the clothing industry. In addition, the degree also qualifies for work in related areas, such as costume and accessory design, fashion consulting, merchandising, PR and advertising, fashion and product management, industrial design, product design or even fashion journalism.
