Festivals and Celebrations

Most people – but definitely all children – love celebrations and celebrations. They give structure to life by providing pleasant interruptions in everyday life that enrich everyday monotony.

Parties and celebrations convey security, support and strengthen the feeling of belonging. They bring joy and fun, they enable encounters with others in a relaxed environment.

For most of the festivals, the focus is on a church or personal occasion. Easter and Pentecost, Thanksgiving, Christmas, baptisms and weddings, seasonal celebrations, birthdays, name days and family reunions are occasions that are celebrated in a special way.

On the other hand, a sudden meal designed out of a sudden wish at a table decorated with flowers and candles can turn everyday life into a celebration.

How important are celebrations and celebrations for family life?

Maybe you will remember the celebrations and celebrations that you experienced as a child and that you will never forget.

Then you also know how important it was for you that they came back regularly and, above all, always followed the same pattern.

Christmas may have started with going to church together. There was always a bell ringing before the door to the Christmas room was opened, in which the tree with the same decoration stood every year. Candles glowed on the table while eating.

The scent of a certain freshly baked birthday cake pervaded the apartment for years a day before a family member’s birthday. On the day of honor itself, the birthday child was the focus of interest.

The constant course of a party gives it a family-typical peculiarity. It spreads warmth and security that you will remember throughout your life. This feeling is deepened when the children can take part in the festive preparations, for example by baking Christmas cookies with their mother or father, or by blowing out eggs for the Easter bouquet and painting them.

The joint consideration of which children are invited to the birthday, how the invitation cards should be labeled and painted, how the birthday party should be organized, leads to anticipation of the upcoming festival, which makes it a great event.

How can the children’s birthday succeed??

Children’s birthday is an event in which the whole family is involved. It is the daughter’s or son’s day of honor, on which she or he is the focus – a day that should be a very special one for the child.

It can begin with the fact that the youngsters are greeted in the morning with a birthday song, followed by a breakfast together at a table decorated with candles and flowers.

His favorite dish has been prepared for lunch (regardless of whether the other family members like it, this is about the birthday boy and his wishes).

The afternoon is finally reserved for a celebration. In order for it to succeed and to be a happy and relaxed get-together for everyone involved, it must be prepared.

The considerations for the design of the festival take time, so you should start early – together with the child – to avoid stress at the celebration.

So that the desired course of the festival succeeds,

  • set a schedule (schedule the beginning and end of the celebration, as well as the time for the food and games);
  • think about how many and which children will be invited (allow it if your child wants to celebrate with just one friend, there don’t always have to be many, you can celebrate even in the smallest circle);
  • create invitation and place cards together with your child;
  • come up with games and magic tricks as well as handicrafts made by the guests. Remember that it can rain. Even rainy birthday parties can be nice if they are well prepared.

The success of a birthday party also depends on whether you take your child’s wishes into account when designing it. That doesn’t mean that you should meet everyone. Do what you want to do (because it’s neither too time-consuming nor too expensive) even if you don’t like it as much (maybe because you find the game proposed too boring or because you think a birthday party is always at home got to).

A swimming pool or cinema visit can be a happy event. Then just insist that the number of guests is within the limits that you can handle – after all, you have to supervise the children. Parents of a guest may also agree to accompany you.
