About Genova

No place is so close to the bustling city of Palma as Genova – a village unique to Mallorca. After just a few minutes’ drive, leaving the bustling streets, traffic and shops of the capital behind you, you will find yourself on mountain peaks overlooking the sea and the pine forests that surround this picturesque village. With its narrow streets and traditional Mediterranean-style houses, Genova will make you feel like you’ve escaped to a perfectly quiet corner of the island.

Despite the village atmosphere in its center, Genova has been developed over the years and is now considered a residential area of Palma. Our abcMallorca tips tell you why this place is worth a visit and what you should not miss.

After being founded as a tiny hamlet, it has been developed into a district and is now largely surrounded by other districts of Palma. Today, around 4,000 inhabitants live here, most of whom come from abroad.
