Healthy breakfast for children: children’s cereal in the test

A quick and healthy breakfast for children

I am not a sponsored post!

Getting three young children aged 1, 3, and 4 ready in the morning can be quite a mammoth task. The two big boys often find it difficult to part with their toys and to postpone the pirate battle until the afternoon. And our little princess is not always just sweet as sugar in the early morning.

There is no time to have an extensive breakfast, but that’s certainly the case with almost all of you. I’m curious to see how it will be next year when our big boy comes to school and has to sit at the table on time at 8 a.m..

But even if there is not so much time and rest, it is important to me that the children eat and drink a little something in the morning. It’s not that our kids aren’t allowed to eat sugar, but I think breakfast shouldn’t be a treat.

So I made my muesli at home for quite a while by mixing oatmeal with unsweetened pops, dried fruits, and other ingredients. That was ok – but it was stupid that I always had so many started bags around and it wasn’t really cheap in comparison, because I only wanted to use organically grown products.

So I continued to look for a nice and healthy children’s cereal and finally found what I was looking for at mymuesli. There is a real pirate cereal for my wild pirates and a royal cereal mixture for the little princess called Princess Muesli.

To test the children’s cereal first, we ordered a sample pack. My children were excited when they heard that the postman would soon bring the favorite food of the pirates and princesses to us. Fortunately, the delivery was really quick and was then unpacked by our children.

So the boys couldn’t wait for the next morning at the breakfast table come and to taste the pirate cereal.

The pirate muesli is a delicious chocolate muesli with banana slices and apple pieces, which, like all other ingredients, come from organic farming. 100 g of muesli contain 12 g of sugar, which comes exclusively from the processed ingredients. Our boys like it great and they are bursting with energy on the way to kindergarten only when they have eaten a bowl filled with white chocolate cannonballs and cool gold banana thalers.

But the princess cereal is also a complete success. And pssst. it is our children’s secret favorite cereal. Of because of pink is only for girls. All our children love the fruit muesli with strawberries and raspberries, which tastes incredibly fruity. When we opened the pretty can for the first time, we were immediately surprised by the beautiful color. And there is nothing artificial about it: the ingredients come here – as with all mymuesli mixtures – from organic cultivation and are free of artificial flavors, colors and preservatives.

We have with the Children’s muesli from mymuesli has now found the ideal breakfast for our children at home, which does not require much preparation and yet provides the bellies with valuable nutrients. Our little mouse also eats the muesli.
A little tip on the side: if your little children are not quite as good with the consistency and you have a Thermomix, you can grind the muesli a little more finely by chopping it at level 7 for 3 seconds.

Incidentally, I also like the two cereal mixes for children as mum, but when I looked at the range of mymuesli cereal mixes on the Internet, I was almost speechless. Summiteers, Figurfit, Matscha, Paleo or simply classic Bircher muesli – the choice is really difficult. And then there is the cereal mixer, with which you can put together your favorite organic muesli from over 80 different ingredients. Mix the muesli now!
