Healthy nutrition for children with recipe idea

If I am honest, I am quite reaching my limits at the moment. A few weeks ago, I was happy that the children are now both eating in the crèche and in the kindergarten. My big hope back then: If you see that the other children are also eating cooked vegetables or meat, they will do it too. But puff cake! Instead of trying something, they prefer to go hungry. Since the food allowance for one potato per day is clearly too good, I have now canceled it. But what is the alternative? How get i put vitamins in my kids?

How do I make my children eat healthy??

Because even if we will eat lunch together again from October, I don’t want to cook pasta every day. Of course, there are always a few tricks you can use to feed children healthy. I think as a parent you can take a few steps towards the children. After all, there are also things that you don’t like to eat as an adult.

In the lavender boy’s kindergarten there is a rule that you always have to try before you can say that you don’t like or don’t want to eat. That sounds reasonable to me. However, this rule does little if the child answers on principle after trying that he does not like the food. That’s how it is with the lavender boy. I don’t have to tell you that it’s exhausting.

New ideas for healthy child nutrition

Since this “phase” has unfortunately been going on for a few months, if not years, it is time to discuss the topic of “healthy eating” for children“To look at it from a different angle. My idea: to hide the healthy in the food and first work with ingredients, the the Children like.

As a test, I have weekend for the children vegetables waffles prepared. I used not only fresh carrots, but also SESAME ROADS squeeze packs with apple, carrot and butternut squash. I would not have thought it possible, but the experiment was actually successful. Both lavender children actually ate the waffles. They noticed that they taste different, but it didn’t bother them. I will be happy to tell you how I made the vegetable waffles:

Recipe for vegetable waffles

Ingredients:

  • 250 g flour
  • 2 vegetable mix squeeze packs with apple, carrot and pumpkin
  • 2 carrots
  • 80 g butter
  • 50 g scattered cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of baking soda
  • salt and pepper

Preparation:

Mix the flour and baking powder in a bowl. Then add the eggs, the butter, the cheese, the squeeze packs, the grated carrots and a little salt and pepper. Mix everything well. Grease the waffle iron with a little oil or butter and bake the waffles in it.

By the way Sesame Street Vegetable Squeeze Packs there is not only apple, carrot and pumpkin, but also pear, mango and spinach. Even if the squeeze packs are of course not a substitute for fresh fruit and vegetables, we often resort to them. Especially the lavender girl thinks the colorful squeeze packs, which are available in all kinds of varieties, are really tasty and are practical for on the go or in between.

The sesame streets are squeeze packs 100% fruit and vegetable. Cereals are sometimes also added. The addition of sugar, flavors as well as colors and preservatives is avoided. The squeeze packs are suitable, by the way 100% organic are for children from one year.

In addition to the squeeze packs, those are also practical for on the go Sesame Street Fruit Bars, which, just like the squeeze packs, are printed with the funny characters from Sesame Street. The fruit bars are also 100% organic, contain only the sweetness of the fruit and are suitable for children from one year old. When we are out and about, I often put in fruit bars for the children to eat as a snack.

Pasta is also available from Brand and Vision. The letter pasta brings some variety to the children’s menu, because it is also available with dried tomatoes and dried spinach. The range also includes two different tea blends: The tea bag packaging of the fruit tea and the red berry tea are also printed with figures from Sesame Street. Since each motif is duplicated, you can even play memory with it.

Are your children also refusing healthy food? What are you doing to ensure that your children eat healthy?
