Surrounded by an enchanting landscape of meadows and woods, Pereto is a fantastic property in the picturesque hills of Umbria, on the border with Tuscany. With a wonderful view of the Tiber valley and the mountains, you can enjoy the Italian country life here. Pereto, on which also lavender is grown, consists of two holiday homes, which form a small hamlet with the owner’s house. A unique vacation spot to spend time with friends and family. In the nearby village of Montone, you can buy fresh bread and visit the restaurant, just a short drive away.

The two cottages are close to each other, with one being a little higher. The larger single house is for 6 people and the smaller ivy-covered annex for 4 people. Ideal for larger groups or families with room for a total of 10 guests. Rustic, inviting and cozy interiors reflect the Tuscan countryside with walls in rich warm colors – terracotta red, orange and green – complemented by exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings. Everyone will love the private pool, which is located on a lower level in the spacious garden with a small pool stone house next to it, which has its own fridge and stereo, ideal for young guests. Enjoy the sunbeams by the pool or in the shade of the terrace on a hammock.

Our personal impression
Surrounded by lavender, fresh air and an idyllic large garden, this peaceful and secluded property ensures guests a restful and relaxed sleep. Various herbs and lavender are grown here, in the neighboring shop you can also buy the homemade products. Each of the two cottages has its own charm. The smaller house has its own shaded terrace with table and chairs, surrounded by trees, while the larger house has a covered furnished terrace with a hammock leading onto a large lawn. From Pereto you have the possibility to explore both regions, Umbria and Tuscany and to make day trips to the beautiful cities like Perugia, Cortona, Assisi and Città di Castello.

additional Information
5 double rooms. 3 bathrooms, one of them is en-suite. The owners live in the third building on the estate with several cats and two dogs that are allowed to roam free. The pool is available to guests alone. The two houses are only rented together. The last 3.5 km of the access road are unpaved, but in good condition. There is a small shop with lavender products on site.

Swimming pool
The salt-cleaned pool is located slightly below the house and has Roman steps that lead into the water. On the sun terrace there are sun loungers and next to the pool is a small stone cottage with fridge, stereo and a covered terrace with table and chairs. It can also be used as a changing room. Outdoor shower available.
Pool size: 5m x 12m with a depth of 1.3m – 2.3m. Open from May to September, weather permitting.
