I was worried that my kids would have no sense of humor – until this tv show came up

Targeting so much of TV, teens and tweens today is harmless but lackluster. Of Zack and Cody , Hannah Montana, they are filled with lots of pre-mature teenagers with an endless supply of free time, freely disposable income and mean-girl tears that (mostly) have a servant or nanny instead of your average parent. Yawning. The laughs come a mile away. Either way, a chili pepper ate and can’t stop sweating. What is your name from another Job for behaves like a jerk againfired. Now I’m going to be the first to admit that my family has hours of TV time showing just like this because let’s face it, kids love them. But at the end of the day, they’re weird. Children do not pick up anything nuanced, clever, or complex regarding the comedy, by watching Zack and Cody. It’s okay, but it’s not weird or creative.

I just grew up Carol Burnett, MASH, stripes, all in the family, SNL (if I could stay up) and Mary Tyler Moore. I wouldn’t let my kids half see these shows now, but it was the 70s and Latchkey kids were a special group. For good or for bad most of us grew up funny. We also grew somewhat anxious about helicopter parents who monitor our children’s umbrella time within an inch of their lives. Because of this, I am afraid that my children are not going to be too funny or have any sense of humor when they are grown up because I’m so protective of what they’re watching.

Thats why I’m glad my teens are addicted to it Bob’s burger, One of the funniest shows on TV right now, the one closest to the shows I used to watch a child come out without being too racy. My older kids turned me on him and I’m glad they like it because it’s fun and creative. Mind you, this show is not for young children; It’s PG-13 tariff, so Her child do not plop in front of it while trying to take a shower. But if you are wrinkling clothes and want something skillful to take the time, Bob’s burger Hits entertaining on site.

It is an animated series about a lower middle class family with three children. (Faith the Simpsons). Bob Belcher, her unhappy father, lives a life with his wife and children working in a burger shop, and cheerfulness ensues. Intelligent, ridiculous, interesting cheerfulness. Tina, the 13 year old daughter, is awkward and young-crazy, but also in love with ponies and zombies. Gen, the middle child, is your typical joker who dreams of eating tacos on the toilet. He sometimes gives burger samples in a hamburger suit to help and run the family business "Beefsquatch" created by adding a Sasquatch mask to the costume. Louise, the youngest child spoken by Kristen Schaal, is beard-like in intrigue. For example, she started a rumor that her family made restaurant hamburgers with human flesh. That kind of thing. Along with the show, regular voice actors score Bob’s burger some amazing guest stars. And when If you have a guest star like John Hamm, you know exactly how to put him to good use: to express it through a sentient, electronic toilet.

The show is a fun romp, sure, but there is a very nice family in his heart. In contrast to Homer from The SimpsonsBob Belcher is a decent father and has a good (if quirky) relationship with his wife Linda. Bob’s burger has heart like Parks and Recreation Heart has. Do not dive into the dark, nihilistic comedy that became 08/15 on television today. It is refreshing.

In an early episode, Bob gets caught behind the walls of his apartment trying to fix a leak before his wife’s parents come to visit. His children can be spoken to him through the walls, and his son, Gene, asks if he sees a lion, a witch or a wardrobe. "Why are you saying the gene?" an angry Bob asks.

"It’s a book," answers gen.

"Oh yes, right, right. A children’s book,"Bob remembers.

"By Salmon Rushdie," Insistes gen.

He and Bob go back and forth, "it’s not from Salmon Rushdie."

"Of course it is."

"I won’t talk to you any more genes. I am in a wall. But go look up."

Genes reaction when he did stands unmoved by the wall? "I have just. "It’s salmon rushdie."

See? Hilarious and clever, just as absurd.

While not suitable for younger children, Bob’s burger beats one of today’s "Children’s programming" aim at teens and tweens hands down. Animated shows work a little different than the typical children’s shows. The "children" can be funnier because they have been voiced by adults. Muppets work the same way in the sesame street. How The simpsonsgives Bob’s burger older children a street great comedy. (Phineas and Ferb, Sponge Bob, and Adventure time do a pretty good job, too.) Animated characters have the ability because children appeal – hey, look at cartoons! – with a more sophisticated sense of humor and comedic aesthetics shining through the speaker and illustration. Animation offer a master class in exhilaration and when your kids get old enough to appreciate it, get a show like Bob’s burger can be a rite of passage in with a real sense of humor.

Morale of the story: do not send actors to do a cartoon character work.
