The rock walls rise steeply up to 250 meters, in between the river Verdon runs in bright turquoise blue.

Please note that most motorways in France and Italy are subject to a fee and even if you are driving through Switzerland you have to plan to buy a vignette. Provence is also easy to reach by plane. The international airport in Marseille is served by a number of airlines in the summer months.
