If-box for birthday or Mother’s Day

Are you looking for a nice birthday gift for a loved one or for a nice gift idea for Mother‘s Day? Then the if-box could be an easy-peasy crafting idea for you. Incidentally, my idea started with an if-book. However, why it did not become an if-book in the end but an if-box and what a groundbreaking invention it is (or not), you will find out in the following text:

If books:

You certainly all know them: the so-called if-books.

These are self-made books, in which one sticks small or larger “tools” for various if-eventualities. Personally, I find these books a great way to make a personal and creative gift for a loved one. There are no limits to the imagination. The only thing that bothered me during the implementation was the fact that the books, depending on the size of the glued in aid, sometimes gaped ugly.

For the birthday of a very good friend of us, I therefore have some thoughts on how I could handle the “problem” and solve for me. The result is the If-BOX.

If box:

A small box in which all aids find their place and conjures up a great wow effect for little money.

And after I got this “super-mega madness idea” and I had looked around the net, I noticed that I probably would not get the patent for this idea, because … the Wenn box was already great , But of course not so beautiful; is clear &# 128521;

If-box – how it’s done:

What you need for it?

Pens holder as if-box:

A Tjena writing utensils tray from Ikea, nice design paper (mine is already quite old and original, I think, from Tchibo) and everything that comes to you in terms of aids for the “if” case. After unpacking the box can wonderfully serve its original purpose, namely as a pencil holder on the desk and is thus a gift on which the birthday child will still enjoy his birthday.

The box costs about 5, – € and they are available in black as well as in white. In white, by the way, it is a very nice gift idea for the wedding. Also on various other occasions, such as the upcoming Mother‘s Day, the box is a great way to make others a joy.

Then of course you need what else is to help the recipient or in the “if-case”. There are really no limits to the imagination and you can let off steam to your heart’s content and the occasion.

For the content:

I have for the “If” cases Uses the following:

  • Design paper (A4 paper, paper weight 270 g / m², mine is already older, similar is here)
  • Masking tape
  • Tesa film (or hot glue)
  • 1 packet of effervescent powder
  • 1 blister patch
  • 1 sparkler
  • 1 Snickers
  • 1 packet of cappuccino powder
  • 1 eyeglass cleaning cloth
  • 1 Mars
  • 1 razor

For the Decoration I used the following:

  • 1 pack Ferrero-Rocher
  • 1 bunch of roses
  • Wind ashtray made of metal (which I had bought a long time ago in the € 1 store and wanted to use as a pen holder, a similar can be found here)
  • golden masking tape
  • birthday card

I certainly do not need much to say about the instructions: cut out the spells, stick on the aids, decorate the box: that’s it!

Sayings for the Wenn box:

… you need a miracle (sparkler)

… you become a diva again (Snickers chocolate bar)

… it’s getting late again (cappuccino)

… you miss the view (eyeglass cleaning cloth)

… it does not work so tingly (effervescent powder)

… the bladder presses (blistering plaster)

… you wish for another planet (Mars chocolate bar)

… it does not go smoothly (disposable razor)

… you feel really dirty (hygienic towel)

By the way, our main gift was a stay in a wellness hotel:

… you are ready for a vacation again

Deco if box:

For the decoration, there were a few golden chocolate balls and flowers. The flowers came with some water into a former wind ashtray, which I placed in the highest of the three front pens.

The lettering “Happy Birthday” I had carefully removed from the birthday card and glued to the front of the box. The card itself was provided with our congratulations and hung in front of the box.

Recently I made another Wenn box for the confirmation of my goddaughter. You can already see them in my Instagram Stories (under Highlights Crafting Fever). The blog post will soon be available.

Until then, I wish you much fun in the after-work.

If you are still looking for more gift ideas:

  • How about a bit of luck out of the can? This DIY variant, in the vegetable cans given a second life, is a nice way to thank the dear mom and shower them with a lot of luck and love.

I wish you a wonderful bliss month with many creative moments of happiness.
