outside area

Our outdoor area surrounds the entire children’s day care centre. It is planted with various shrubs and trees, which offer the children opportunities to retreat, and has fixed playground equipment such as a climbing tower, three slides, two standing seesaws, a hammock swing, a tube to hide, a mud corner and several sand landscapes with water points and a large playground. Various floor coverings such as sand, gravel, wood, stones, earth and paved surfaces provide a variety of movement and sensory experiences and can be used by children in all weathers.

Special offers

The day care centre offers almost all-year-round childcare, which is guaranteed by reduced childcare during the school summer holidays. Permanently installed closing times are limited to the Christmas period and 3 additional days a year.

We are freshly cooked daily by our housekeeping power according to the standards of the German Society for Nutrition. The monthly meal allowance for the hot meal is to be paid to the carrier.

Pedagogical peculiarities

In the foreground of our pedagogical work is the “social education” on the one hand as a method – learning in social relations – on the other hand as an educational goal – education to group ability.

We support the children in dealing with their environment, living together with other cultures and with existing norms and rules, to help shape and apply them. They learn to perceive themselves, their feelings and their bodies. We create space for the children to practice living and working together with others.

Furthermore, we practice bilingual German-English education in our institution. We implement this with the method of immersion (language bath) by means of a native speaker, i.e. an employee with the native language English, in almost every group.

We stand up for the right of children to education, upbringing and care. Regardless of origin, gender, religion, cultural and ethnic orientation, physical and / or mental conditions and regardless of the parents’ life situation, we try to implement this in our day care centre.

The basic attitude of partnership towards the child obliges us to involve children in shaping their everyday pedagogical lives and in this way to promote their self-confidence and responsibility.

The children experience this participation and the contribution of their own ideas through e.g.

  • Joint definition of group rules and joint responsibility for compliance with them
  • Design of our premises
  • Ideas and wishes for the design of activities and miniprojects
  • Cleaning of the premises

By the end of the kindergarten year 2013/2014, we will select an instrument or method that ensures that children’s wishes, suggestions for improvement and complaints are recorded and dealt with and firmly anchor them in our everyday pedagogical life.

The health of the children is very important to us. That is why we attach great importance to a healthy diet. We ensure this by providing a warm lunch that is freshly prepared every day. We follow the guidelines of the German Society for Nutrition. Furthermore, we plan and prepare a healthy breakfast together with the children once a week, so that the children get a feeling for what belongs to a healthy breakfast. On the other days, we encourage the parents to give their child a healthy breakfast.
