In connemara expect a wild romantic mountain panorama and the silence of dark brown high moors. Prehistoric and early christian evidence of the irish past can be found in the fertile valley boyne valley. in dublin you take part in the pulsating life of the capital and get to know the most important sights. A day trip on the famous panoramic road ring of kerry leads you through the scenic southwest with its surprising subtropical vegetation.
Travelling by car in ireland
Well organized and yet independent, that’s the best way to describe our autorun tours. a special advantage of exploring ireland by car is that you can see a lot in one vacation. you decide what you want to see and when you want to stop. Our accommodations are always very centrally located, so that you have enough opportunity to experience the irish hospitality and to get in contact with the locals. For example in the evening in the pub with a delicious glass of guinness.
in ireland you have to drive on the left side of the road and sheep always have the right of way, these are only some of the traffic obstacles you have to overcome. the irish are a communicative people, this is also noticeable in the traffic, despite signposting, many rights of way are still regulated by hand signals. But you will get used to it very quickly. Here too practice makes perfect.
The car tours are planned in such a way that only approx. 150- travel 200 kilometers from one place to another in one day. This way you have enough time to visit all the sights or just stop where you like it best. don’t be afraid to ask for directions or special places, the irish people are very proud of their island and are happy to listen to your stories. And who knows maybe you will discover places that not everyone gets to see.
The cities and towns that we have chosen as accommodation for you, offer everything that makes the tourist’s heart beat faster. Shopping, pubs and nightlife, there is something for everyone. The trip was well put together and everything went smoothly. We always had single beds, only once a room with double bed with only 1.40m wide and mattresses beyond good and evil. That clouded a little the trip. It would be practical to have the travel documents in PDF format, which you can also print out, and not only online.
Ireland itself is very beautiful and offers a lot of breathtaking nature with spectacular views. A people of very friendly people. Definitely worth a visit.

I was allowed thanks to gruene-insel.De 23 wonderful days spent in ireland. I was given an individual round trip with eleven accommodations, including three hotels and eight B&bs, and my own rental car. From arrival to departure in dublin everything worked without problems. Since I traveled in november, I was mostly the only guest in the accommodations and was everywhere warmly welcomed and received, one felt directly like at home. All hosts were very friendly and warm-hearted. I was able to organize the leisure program freely, thanks to the travel guide that was sent to me in advance, I was able to select all the destinations before the start of the trip.
I got a lot of impressions of the landscape, the people and the cuisine. It was an unforgettable vacation! The staff of gruene-insel.De were only an e-mail away for every little question and have responsibly facilitated and even relieved me of any planning.

Einle very nice trip, very well organized and prepared. Interesting moments
sometimes found themselves off the recommended paths. The inland waterway canal system
and the many waters were often surprising. Who is interested for example in the
functioning of a peat power plant? Is besides the many historical places also
exciting to see. A self searched highlight was the railroad museum in listowel
and the dursey cablecar. For the car trip google and the map "road map" were very helpful
ireland" from "ireland`s clearest mapping" very helpful, ingenious exact map.
Oh yes, in dublin at the airport book a bus option right away. The airport bus to
center is a first detailed city tour. The combi-ticket enabled a
unhindered free movement in the city, the expensive sightseeing bus was thus
obsolete.
The only shortcoming is that there is no comprehensible general map.
It is not meaningful to estimate the price-performance ratio here. We know the
single price of the booked accommodations not.

a perfect trip, thanks to perfect preparation of the staff at gruene-insel.De went absolutely smoothly and without problems, and left no wishes unfulfilled. I was able to experience and enjoy Ireland as I remembered it and for my wife it was a fantastic first experience of the island that kept a part of our hearts even after our trip home. nice trip with more time in the car than expected. The organization of the overnight stays was without problems, but the B&B booked were sometimes off the proposed route and the addresses were often incorrect or incomplete. pre-planning was a bit chaotic (with every offer came new route suggestion), questions were always answered only partially but quickly. The weather was excellent for september. a few days before or after for dublin are recommended.
