The preschool children of the day-care center “Adventure Land” in Minfeld had a lot of fun with their French teacher Cathy Arnholt. The week before Christmas, the children heard a Christmas story from Dino "Pop" who ends up looking for gifts from Santa Claus.
Cathy Arnholt is a native speaker, works a total of 15 hours a week in the daycare center as part of the "Learn the language of the neighbor" program and brings it Children the French language and lifestyle closer.

The teachers at the Kita Abenteuerland were particularly happy about the Christmas gift from the emergency training company Johannes Peter from Landau. In the presence of local mayor Martin Volz, he presented a check for € 250. The company Johannes Johannes Emergency Training specializes in courses on child emergencies for parents.

Nikolaus visits Adventure Land in Minfeld
On December 6th Santa Claus landed at the Adventure Land in Minfeld and immediately announced himself with his bell. In each group he was warmly greeted with several songs and poems. He was also offered homemade cookies and cakes to help him recover from his strenuous journey. In his big golden book there was a note about each child, the children listened attentively and were still amazed at what Santa Claus knew. As a reward, everything received something from his large gift bag.
Many thanks to the educators who supported Santa Claus so well and who thought about the Golden Book with love. Thanks also to the parents who were involved in the sale of cookies.

Jürgen Kraft donated an impressive € 235 to the local mayor Martin Volz as a donation for the children’s day-care facility Abenteuerland in Minfeld. A Christmas exhibition has been taking place in Melanie Kraft’s flower shop for many years. The proceeds from eating and drinking traditionally go to the children of our day care center.

As a small thank you for the renovation and redesign of the hallways in the kindergarten, local mayor Martin Volz invited the helpers to a barbecue. The campaign was organized by the parents’ council and implemented during the summer vacation. The teachers also thanked each helper, who received a Dubben glass with sweets and the KiTa logo. Thank you again for the great effort.

On September 25, 2019, the group of mice from the Adventure Land was allowed to visit the Stoltz family’s animals on the Hardtmühle. In keeping with our topic "Farm animals" we looked at the sheep and chickens. After a short walk across the bridge and a large meadow, we stood in front of the fence of the sheep. We first watched them from a safe distance as they approached us curiously. For many children it was an effort to go inside the sheep, but in the end everyone dared to stroke the cuddly fur. In parting, we sang the song “Mary has a little sheep”. On the way back we came across many chickens, who we also watched closely as they pecked their grains and cackled with them. At the end it was raining, but we were allowed to picnic in the barn in the straw and rest. It was very much in the straw cozy and adventurous because it was the first time for many children to sit in the straw. After everyone had looked at the tractor, we said goodbye.

There were two festivals to celebrate in Adventure Land. First, the preschoolers were adopted. 15 girls and boys will leave the day care center and go to primary school after the summer holidays. Not only the teachers had come up with some ideas, the preschoolers and their parents were not stingy with ideas either. Each teacher received a medal and a tricycle, to which banknotes worth € 130 were attached, was handed over to the adventure land as a thank you. In this way, the teachers’ wish to expand the vehicle fleet can be implemented twice.
The municipality of Minfeld wishes all preschoolers all the best on their new path of life!
The head of the nursery, Ms. Anne Lang, welcomed 180 people to the second festival, the summer festival. The children had a lot of fun together with the after-school care center, parents and relatives. Plenty of games and demonstrations were held. From pirates and water games to a French play, there was something for everyone. Nobody had to go hungry either, the association for French provided catering. A cake buffet, crepes, chicken burger and vegetable pan were opened.
As responsible for the kindergarten area, I would like to thank all the actors, the parents’ advisory council, the support association for French, the parents, children and especially the team from the Adventure Land for the work they did and wonderful hours!
