The country kindergarten Sellnrod is again a municipal institution of the municipality of Mücke from 01.08.2019. Surrounded by the rural location, it is integrated in the center of Sellnrod. We can accommodate up to 25 children aged 2-6 in the facility. The admission takes place through a personal conversation with the head of the kindergarten.

Opening times: Monday to Friday from 7.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.

Our educational focus and goals

By promoting their basic skills, the children are strengthened in their self and social skills as well as in learning and subject skills.

Our goal is that Children in educate the community to be self-reliant and responsible people with positive self-esteem.

The situation-oriented approach focuses on the interests and needs of the children. With us, children can play an active role in day-to-day kindergarten training by involving them in decisions and by respecting and respecting their opinions.

The experience of living with the children shows that they can make a difference by having a say and that their opinions are valued in their person. This is an important basis for our educational work.

Education is above all self-education, which develops holistically in complex contexts. We accompany the child in its individual development processes.
We are based on the education and training mandate of the KJHG (Child and Young Adult Aid Act) and the Hessian education and upbringing plan.

We give the children a lot of time and space in free play to deal with their environment.
Here it learns, in accordance with its pace and its level of development, and usually quite spontaneously, to try it out and to live out its needs.

The children naturally have an urge to move. The basis for basic perception experiences is strengthened and promoted in the gym, on the outdoor area and on regular nature days.

Children with special needs will of course also be accommodated in our facility.

Education in kindergarten complements, supports and extends the education of the child in the family. A trusting and open cooperation between parents and educators is an essential prerequisite for our pedagogical work.
