Including day care center in Bornheim-Hersel

Kita treasure chest

In August 2018, the daycare center was opened at Allerstraße 15 in Bornheim-Hersel as a 2-group, including day care center. The daycare center is within walking distance of the S-Bahn stop line 16.

The daycare center treasure chest is inclusive. We guarantee the admission of children regardless of their social background, nationality, religion or type and severity of their disability.

In Hersel, 30 children aged 1 to 6 years are initially cared for in two groups. There is a group with 20 children aged 2 to 6 years and a group with 10 children aged 1 to 3 years.

The care times are 35 hours or 45 hours. All places are provided with lunch. The daycare center is open Monday to Friday from 7.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m..

In order to be able to offer childcare options on site in a timely manner, the city of Bornheim has modified containers to accommodate the space requirements of a two-group daycare center and the rooms and play facilities for the Needs children furnished and designed. The existing outdoor area is designed for daycare and the range of games is tailored to different age groups.

This will create a temporary solution in the short term. An expansion of the daycare is planned as soon as a plot of land for a permanent location is found. The future size will depend on needs and possibilities.

The educational concept

Network manager Roswitha Leyendecker-Trier: "For life support Bonn as a sponsor, it is essential to always see a daycare center in an inclusive context. A daycare center that is open to all children is therefore a suitable place to learn as early as possible to deal with differences. Through a wide range of games and activities, both within and across groups, we want to give children a wide range of opportunities in all areas of education and a wide range of social experiences.

Our offers are based on the children’s world of experience, topics are taken up in a superficial situation as well as child-oriented. A structured daily routine provides orientation for the children and still leaves scope for the realization of your own ideas. Important is us that every child child receives support for its individual development and sufficient time for its own pace of development. An attentive attitude towards children is the basis of all pedagogical activity.

Parents and family members are also important to us. We would like the daycare center to be a house in which children and relatives feel comfortable and understood. Together with the parents, we want to create the best possible conditions for the good development of their children."
