Leisure program for children: the highlights in July

The summer vacation has started! But as great as the joy is, boredom often comes quickly. In order to remedy this situation and to spend great action-packed days, we have summarized the program highlights for the summer month of July for children in Vienna.

Grätzl workshop

Explore your Grätzl together with new friends and other families and help shape it! The district museum Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus invites you to a Grätzl tour with various themed stations. Whether dressing up for your future dream job, getting to know different means of transportation or trying out great tricks – there is something for every creative mind!

The Grätzl workshop is one Eco-Event. This means that it is recommended to travel by foot, bicycle or public transport. Environmental protection, waste management and the correct use of water and energy are also of great importance during the tour!

Indoor playground Seversaal

Even in the beautiful summer months, the weather cannot play along. Such days should also be taken care of: In the indoor playground Seversaal in the 16th district of Vienna there is something for every child! Action lovers will love the adventure obstacle course, the bouncy castle and the great climbing landscape "Jungle Run". But you can also spend fun hours in the ball pit, with giant Lego or soft play toys. For sports enthusiasts there is also a country hockey and table football area.

Important: Please take non-slip socks or slippers with you! Children are only allowed to enter the indoor playground when accompanied by an adult.

From July 2nd to July 12th every Tuesday to Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Picture workshop and paint kitchen

Colors are very important for a colorful life. But where do colors come from? In small groups you will learn what the beautiful flowers from the garden have to do with canvas and brush. Together with a trusted companion and other children, you can live creatively in the color kitchen. The picture workshop and color kitchen is organized by the Lower Belvedere in the 3rd district.

As already mentioned, accompanying persons are also invited to provide a relaxed atmosphere. However, in order to keep the small groups clear, no more than two companions should participate. These have free admission.

A robot rarely comes alone

As part of the Vienna Biennale Festival, you will get to know the artificial intelligence of our time together with others. You can find artificial intelligence almost everywhere: whether in the car, in a smartphone or even in the refrigerator – each of these things learn how to tick. What does everyday life look like with artificial intelligence and what will it look like in the future?

In Mak Vienna you can take part in this workshop from July 2nd to 12th. Registration is requested.

High rope climbing garden in the Gänsehäufelbad

Also in July we have a tip for you that is off fixed dates: the high-rope climbing garden in the Gänsehäufelbad. You can test your body coordination on 79 platforms at heights of up to 8 meters, 10 courses over a length of 1500m and 26 Flying Fox facilities. An action-packed and adventurous day awaits you in Vienna’s oldest high ropes course!

Anyone who is taller than 110cm is invited to work out in the goose piling bath. All over 14 years can prove themselves in Vienna’s first outdoor escape room: in 75 minutes you have to solve puzzles to find the right way out of the jungle dangers.
