Which regions can be extracted??

In principle, all areas of the body where too much subcutaneous fatty tissue is present can be aspirated (including, for example, the neck, the cheeks, the back, the underarm areas, the pubic mound, the calves, and the chest)..

How does a liposuction work??

In a suction, the fatty tissue is stunned by the saline and softened (tumescent technique).

Subsequently, the whole fat cells (not only the content) with the approximately 3 mm thin tube sucked off. The body region is carefully modeled.

In this way, the number of fat cells that simply did not want to give away the fat is permanently reduced by 70-90%. The remaining fat cells can not divide again, so the result is preserved forever.

Is that synonymous without surgery?

Many patients ask us if it is not possible to get rid of the unwanted fat pads without surgery. There are many promises: fat-away injection (injection lipolysis) freeze fat or remove fat through cold (cryolipolysis), ultrasound (liposonix), radio waves (cavitation) and many others. We have tested all these methods even in half-page trials and have found no visible effects. There is also no scientific evidence for the effects of these methods. To simulate at least a small effect, these methods are therefore often combined with a diet. You’ve probably wondered if having a beauty surgery is an unnecessary risk to your health, whether it’s extremely expensive, and whether you can quickly get back to the unloved after a liposuction.

Many patients tell us that it took a long time before they dared to inform themselves and arrange a consultation – and very often we hear after the procedure: “I get so annoyed that I did not do that much sooner to let. It was so straightforward and I’m so happy with the result. “.

Safe surgery – perfect result

Liposuction is a very safe surgical procedure that is very well developed today and therefore extremely gentle.

Since the invention of the tumescent technique (pre-treatment of fatty tissue with saline) by the American dermatologist Jeffrey Klein over 30 years ago, the operation has become a standard method of modern cosmetic surgery, which gives excellent results and is very gentle. Meanwhile, the techniques have been perfected even further.

Risks and complications

Exhausts are very low in risk compared to many other procedures. Nevertheless, an operation is never completely free of risks. Therefore, it is important that such procedures are carried out in a clinic that is very experienced in this field and therefore has the necessary routine and technical equipment. As a patient, you should be the center of attention and caring and caring. Which extraction techniques are there?

In the classic liposuction is with a cannula (a thin tube), which is rounded in front and laterally has small openings, sucked with sliding hand movements. Since this method can not be modeled as uniformly and it is relatively stressful for the tissue, the method of vibration (Power Assisted Liposuction, PAL) was developed. In this case, the cannula is set by a hand-operated with a motor handpiece in vibration movements (similar to an electric toothbrush) and thus slides much easier and gentler through the tissue. The surgeon can aspirate more, model better and the tissue is less injured.

Which is the best technique?

Are other techniques such as ultrasound (UAL), water jet technology (Waterjet), radio waves (body-tite) and lasers (LAL, Smart Lipo, Laser Lipo) useful? All these methods have not proven in practice. For one thing, the promised tightening of the skin is not enough and, on the other hand, all these techniques are not very effective.

In our opinion, vibration technology is by far the safest, gentlest and most effective method. Their invention has greatly improved liposuction. We combine them with the Safe Lipo technique by Dr. Ing. Simeon Wall, in which the fatty tissue is gently loosened before aspiration.

Do I get something from the suction with?

Whether with drowsy sleep or general anesthesia, a liposuction is much more pleasant than you imagine. On television or on Youtube videos, the suction always looks very brutal and crude. With the vibration method it is very gentle and thanks to the anesthesia you get nothing of it.

About 80% of us in the clinic are in twilight sleep and the remaining 20% in general anesthesia. Which method is more suitable for you, we can clarify at the consultation in peace. We can offer you all sensible methods routinely. Together we will find the best method for you.

Careful and sensitive approach

In the Dorow Clinic we take a lot of time for you. Before surgery, we record the regions together with the patient. Subsequently, the tumescent solution is slowly infiltrated into twilight sleep or under anesthesia and allowed to act for one full hour. During the suction we store the patient with special pillows so that the respective region can be optimally modeled. Liposuction is exhausting, but we do not do things by halves: we suck off very persistently and intensively, so that the unwanted fat completely disappears.

Are there scars?

No, only two to three tiny punctures of about 3-4mm in length are made per region. These punctures do not have to be sutured after the suction, they grow by itself again. After a few weeks, these small scars are barely visible.

So there are virtually no visible traces that could reveal your little beauty secret.

Are liposuctions safe?

Liposuction in tumescent technique are very safe procedures that are performed hundreds of times worldwide every day. At the Dorow Clinic, we make sure that the operation is made even safer by careful treatment. An antibiotic infusion against skin germs, a sterile procedure, a long exposure time of tumescent solution, gentle suction with thin vibration cannulas, good bandaging and compression of the regions after surgery, regular follow-up and many other details are the secret of thousands of successful aspirations.

The way from consultation to surgery

If you have decided on a treatment, we will look together for a suitable appointment for you. If you wish, we can arrange another preliminary talk before this date. You come to the surgery appointment sober. This means that you are not allowed to eat six hours beforehand and that you are not allowed to drink or smoke for three hours. When you arrive, we’ll talk to you, reassure you, make before-photos and record the regions together. After that, you will get the anesthetic or the twilight sleep and you can sleep relaxed, while we take the disturbing fat pads.

How does the extracted region feel afterwards??

After liposuction, the treated areas feel like they have a strong muscle soreness. However, the feeling passes and already in the evening after the operation you can take an easy walk with you to get your circulation going again and reduce the risk of thrombosis. In the first week you should still spare something. Lightweight activities, such as doing shopping and resuming light household activities, are not a problem. Please wear the compression underwear for three weeks. You can take a shower on the second day after the operation. Solarium, sunbathing, hot baths and sauna visits should be avoided for four weeks. Then you can also exercise almost all sports activities again fully.

Use fat for other body regions?

The extracted fat contains living fat cells and also a large proportion of regenerative cells (“stem cells”). Therefore, when used directly (freshly), the fat can be applied to a variety of useful areas. For example, it is possible to smooth the scars and wrinkles of the skin on the face with an autologous fat treatment for a fresh and young look. Another purpose is permanent tissue engineering by transplanting the fat cells into other body regions. In this gentle way, breasts, buttocks, cheeks and chin can be built up or wrinkles and dents on the body can be filled up. Since the fat is destroyed during freezing, it can only be used on the day of suction.
