  • Lochzange
  • rubber band

Step 1: Once you have cut out the stencil elements cleanly, transfer them to colored construction paper with a pencil. Use thicker cardboard to craft the bird mask, this is more stable.

2nd step: Then cut out these elements cleanly. Prick your eyes with the tip of the scissors before cutting.

3rd step: Then simply glue the elements together.

4th step: Punch a small hole in the bird mask with the punch on the left and right.

5th step: A rubber band for fastening the mask is now threaded through this. Finished!

Then glue the eye area on the beak, here also pay attention to clean and even distances. The small eye rims, as well also the Finally, three crown elements are attached with hot glue.

3rd step: Wait for the glue to dry. Use the needle to attach a rubber band to the bird mask on the left and right.

Make an egg carton mask

This bird mask is a great and creative idea for upcycling! You can easily convert old egg cartons into masks. We’ll show you how.

You need:

  • empty egg box
  • feathers
  • scissors
  • rubber band
  • hot glue
  • possibly acrylic paint and brush

Manual:

Step 1: The base of the bird mask consists of a piece of an old egg box. Cut the element off the box with the tip and the two adjacent bowls for the eggs. Cut the curves with the scissors so that it looks like this. Then two holes are cut in the holes.

2nd step: Now the cardboard can be painted. The beak gets a yellow color and the rest turns red. Acrylic paint is best suited for this. Let the paint dry long enough before continuing to tinker.

3rd step: The feathers are then attached to the inside of the bird mask using hot glue. Arrange the springs as you like or in a system, that’s up to you. However, you should carefully consider where each spring should be before gluing.

4th step: Use the tip of the scissors to prick a hole in the mask on the left and right – these should be at the same height.

5th step: Then thread a sufficiently long piece of rubber band through these holes and knot the whole thing.

Tip: Test the length of the rubber band beforehand. To do this, put the rubber band around your head once, from temple to temple. Cut a few centimeters less so that the mask is under tension and fits well.
