Marion Issel-Domberg M.Sc., M.Sc., M.A. Expert in implantology and periodontology

The development in implantology has progressed rapidly, especially in the past two decades, and implant-supported dentures are now the gold standard. The materials used e.g. In the case of titanium implants or ceramic implants, intensive long-term tests were carried out, and statements about the long-term durability of inserted implants are serious today. As part of the implant consultation, the cheapest solution for the patient is sought and the further procedure is explained in detail. In the foreground is the minimally invasive implant bed drilling performed in our practice, also called transgingival implantology. Supporting measures during implantation such as B. necessary bone structure or use of growth factors complete the content of our implant consultation.

The desire for healthy gums and beautiful teeth is something completely natural. In some cases, implementation is only possible with implants. This is also supported by the fact that an implant-supported restoration to replace missing teeth has the highest probability of success.

Every patient is unique, so every patient has different requirements. This can be one or the other risk factor such as periodontitis, i.e. a disease of the tooth structure, taking a blood thinner or bisphosphonates for the treatment of osteoporosis and more.

Against this background, it is advisable to consult a specialist who can counter potential risks in a qualified manner.

With the minimally invasive implantation procedure (comparable to the so-called keyhole technique) bleeding, swelling and pain can be avoided even when taking high-risk medication. The risk of complications from periodontitis is reduced to a minimum with minimally invasive interventions and additional effective pretreatment.

At the same time, the application offers body’s own regeneration methods, such as the use of the platelet-rich plasma with the growth factors contained therein and the production of bone substitute materials from your own teeth, maximum safety of tolerance. The healing process can be significantly shortened due to the high biocompatibility of the body’s own substances and a long-term stable result can be expected.

Under these best conditions, the implant-supported dentures can be used either immediately or after a healing time of approx. 8 weeks. The good knowledge of your special situation from a comprehensive assessment enables us to find the most suitable denture for you in consultation with your wishes and requirements. The implementation is carried out by our dental technician in our practice’s own laboratory.

I owe my skills especially in the technology of minimally invasive implantology to a private lecturer Dr. Armin Nedjat, the pioneer and successful developer of a method that has been recognized for 30 years, from which I have been able to learn continuously for 10 years. I am very grateful for that!

On the other hand, my two successfully completed postgraduate master’s programs, in implantology and periodontology at the German Society for Implantology (DGI), which enjoys a very high reputation both nationally and internationally, contributed significantly to my professional development. At this point I would particularly like to thank my “master father” Prof. Dr. Dr. Thank Terheyden for his supportive support in the context of my master thesis on “heat development during implant bed drilling”.

Last but not least, I can rely on my extensive experience in the field of implantology and implant prosthetics.

I am happy to have been able to give many people, even with more difficult conditions, a high quality of life in relation to their teeth and oral health.
