Interactive journey of discovery through the world of puzzles, games and books

How is a game created and why do puzzles always exactly match one part to another? What does company founder Otto Maier have in common with Friedrich Fröbel, the inventor of the kindergarten? In the middle of the city of Ravensburg, the Ravensburger Museum in the former headquarters of the world-famous book and game publisher invites you to an interactive family excursion to memory®, Malefiz® and Co.: On over 1,000 square meters, visitors discover games, puzzles and books from the past and present of the Publishing house with the blue triangle.

Reading, listening, experimenting, playing and guessing: a visit to the interactive museum appeals to all the senses. Bookworms listen to exciting stories in the nest of the reading book. Creative minds try their hand at the mandala design. Game fans let the dice roll in the games and reading lounge with their more than 1,300 books, games and puzzles or in the "game courtyard" – of course, only after they have learned, using the example of the classic game "The Crazy Labyrinth", how an idea turns a finished board game arises. Anyone who thinks the exhibition is only for children is wrong. Adults too get enthusiastic when they rediscover what they liked earlier.

Even company history becomes an experience in the Museum Ravensburger – when tiptoi®, the orange pencil from the audio digital learning system from Ravensburger, the children and youth leads through the rooms at the tiptoi® museum rally and asks questions of knowledge. Adults explore the exhibition, which stretches over three floors in one of the oldest buildings in the city, with the multimedia audio guide. Available in German or English, he takes the visitors on a highlight tour, which provides additional information and anecdotes at 25 stations in entertaining, exciting sections.
