New puky children’s bikes from october, children’s bike blog

In time for the big Eurobike bike fair in early September, Puky is presenting its first innovations for 2011. It will be like that in just a few weeks Children’s bike Puky ZL 12 Alu be marveled at in the streets of this country. Puky consistently relies on the expansion of the ZL children’s bike series with an aluminum frame and now offers a lighter alternative to the previous entry-level model, the Puky Z2 with a steel frame.
At the beginning of autumn, Puky also offers new colors for some children’s vehicles as well as numerous new items in the range of accessories. The innovations at a glance:

New: the Puky ZL 12 Alu

At 7.9 kg, the new 12 inch Puky model ZL 12 with aluminum frame is at least 700 g lighter than its older brother, the Puky Z2, which weighs 8.6 kg. The three colors in which the Puky ZL 12 will be available also appear lighter and more modern: lilac, a fresh kiwi green and a rich blue with soccer motif. The saddle adjustment area will also be a little more spacious and with its minimal saddle height it will be easy to climb and operate for children with a stride length of 40 cm or more. We are looking forward to the Puky ZL 12 and expect a delivery capability from the beginning / middle of October 2010

Puky ZL 16 and Puky ZL 18 in the new kiwi color

It is therefore fresh and spring-like, the new kiwi green also for the other two ZL successful models with 16 and 18 inches. We look forward to the increasing color variations in the children’s bike area and a varied shop presentation.

Kiwi also for the three Puky Crusader 24 inch models

With a cheeky, sporty green / black, all Puky Crusader 24 inchers will also be available from October. No matter whether 3-gear hub gear, 7-gear hub gear or 24-speed derailleur gear with the Puky Crusader 24 inch in kiwi look, you are always at the forefront.

Puky Z6 with a new steel frame and a new luggage rack

With a thicker, 18% more voluminous steel frame tube, the Puky Z6 now makes an even more compact and stable impression. The luggage rack also looks more modern and visually appealing with the new curves.

Puky LR XL wheels – New models now with spoke wheels

Weight saving is a consistently declared and worthwhile goal for children’s vehicles. After all, the children are supposed to not with Avoid walking bikes or children’s bicycles that are almost as heavy as they are themselves. Spoked wheels make an effective contribution here, even if it only involves a few hundred grams. The Puky LR XL wheels went this way and are now also available as a spoke wheel variant in the colors white and kiwi.

Lots of new Puky accessories for 2011

And if that’s not enough: Numerous beautiful and useful accessories are waiting for us and you from next month. New Puky bike bags for handlebars and luggage racks in a new design. New bike helmets. And, let’s see what they look like: Black Puky T-Shirts in 3 sizes. We are excited!

"However, it is still important to mention in this connection that the weight information always refers to the children’s bikes without mounted support wheels"

Possibly. also without luggage rack, mudguards, bell, reflectors, chain guard, pennant, bell etc. – or even pedals?

Or are these things always weighed in with PUKY manufacturer weight information?

Sorry. I am skeptical. It just comes to me for a PUKY – also for the smallest – everything too easy before …

If all of this is weighed in, then “All attention!” For the bike.

the 7.9 kg for the ZL 12 from Puky are manufacturer information.
The models are not yet available – we will only be able to check that in October 2010 …

… so far, this information has always been well received, Puky must not and will not flicker … ;-)!
However, it is important to mention in this context that the weight information always refers to the children’s bikes without mounted training wheels (which you should cleverly omit anyway!) …

Are the 7.9kg of the Puky ZL 12 manufacturer information or have you weighed yourself?

If it is the manufacturer’s specification, how reliable has Puky’s weight been so far?
