One night relaxed: the wellness hotel guide for austria

One night relaxed: The Wellness Hotel Gu > Janett Comments 8 minutes reading time

Is there a better time for wellness and relaxation than winter? If the nights are long and the days short, and you would like to spend the whole day in the warm and cuddly bed anyway? I have summarized my personal recommendations for wellness hotels in Austria here, which I can recommend.

Always happy – the Hochschober on the Turracher Höhe

I love this hotel. Unfortunately, I have been to Hochschober for the time being – but for me it is the ultimatetime out“. The family-run spa hotel offers not only a very large spa and one of the coolest outdoor pools ever (heated in a lake !!) but also a really extensive library .. Especially here is the variety of wellness and relaxation offers. In addition to a Turkish hammam, there is also a Japanese tea house with recurrent yoga and tea sessions. There are active sport courses (aquafittness) and hiking tours and both regional breakfast and dinner are included in the price. Especially handy – In most areas there is no mobile phone.

  • A room in the Hochschober is possible from 195 Euro per night per person.
  • The price includes all meals and the use of all offers except massages.
  • The hotel rooms are classic, but offer everything you need.
  • I can give you a detailed insight in my report on the Hochschober.

Wellness at the Holzhotel on the Forsthofalm in Leogang

Monique and Sven had less luck with the weather on one of their previous trips to Austria. Rain, wind, snow showers – the weather was anything but hospitable. So much the better that their hotel, the Holzhotel Forsthofalm in Leogang, has one of the coolest saunas in Austria. Honestly? In this view I would be a permanent guest in the sauna. Not only this warmth room makes the spa hotel high up. The hotel offers guided walks three times a week, daily yoga and the outdoor swimming pool with a view is awesome!

  • A room on the Forsthofalm in Leogang are not priced at around 350 euros per room, but the price includes many benefits
  • The price includes breakfast, dinner and coffee snack, spa area and in summer the Löwen Card included.
  • There are regular yoga sessions.
  • The hotel beds are great!
  • Monique and Sven wrote in their article about the Forsthofalm also about excursion tips around Leogang

Wellness in the City – Relax in the SO / Vienna Hotel

A spa in a city hotel? Well that’s not an easy task to solve. The Sofitel in Vienna also offers a spa area, which boasts an impressive relaxation room. It is a bit fresh there, but with a cuddly warm blanket, it is especially pleasant after a sauna session. The Sofitel does not have a pool, but two whirlpools, saunas, some treatment rooms (the back massage was lovely!) And a rather large spa lounge. The wellness area and the rooms are quite modern and certainly not for everyone, but I felt very comfortable here. The hotel also offers day spa – a massage starts from 60 euros.
