Which children’s shoe brands are good and cheap?

There is hardly a question that concerns parents more than the question of a good, yet affordable shoe brand for little feet. The selection is huge, but you can see that the decision to buy is made between a dozen brand-name shoe manufacturers. The race leads by far Children’s shoes from Geox and Superfit followed by Däumling, Richter, Elefanten, Bama, naturino, primigi and many more. From almost all manufacturers there are shoes in several price ranges to cater to different buyers. Most brand manufacturers offer children’s shoes (low shoes) between 40-50 €, as well as more expensive models from 60-80 €.

Our opinion:
Since children’s shoes only last one season in the first 3 years, we like to use mid-range models, if possible up to approx. € 45. Low shoes mostly from Superfit and primigi. Our favorite for winter boots is kamik.
Even after 3 years of buying children’s shoes, we have still not found an exceptionally affordable and at the same time convincing manufacturer. That is why it is always a new challenge to research something. Admittedly, it sometimes takes a lot of effort to overcome, but somehow it is also fun to discover new things and then be happy when you have found great and affordable shoes. And if it does get 10 € more when you buy: The money is always well spent on children’s feet.

Rule of thumb:
A pair of good new brand shoes. In addition a second pair of shoes from siblings, daycare friends or from the flea market. This makes it easy to get through every season, even if a shoe gets wet or gets lost in toy boxes.
