On Sunday, May 8th, the Weidenpesch racecourse announces the big charity race day in favor of the Cologne Child Protection Association for the 81st Gerling Prize, Gr. 2, not only a sporting highlight, but also a social highlight.

Three of the eleven top-class races take place in Cologne. In addition to the 81st Gerling Prize on Sunday, these are also the 181st Oppenheim Union Race on June 19 and the 54th Europe Prize on September 25.

* FC pros also come *
Also on this family race day for the good cause are five professionals from 1. FC Köln with Timo Horn, Marcel Risse, Dominic Maroh, Dusan Svento and Thomas Kessler.
For our loyal racetrack visitors and fans of 1. FC Köln, the Cologne racing club, together with the 1. "We want to give all visitors who had to do without the announced autograph session with the FC professionals on Easter Monday the opportunity to experience the FC professionals up close at the racetrack," explains President Eckhard Sauren about this unique campaign.
* A heart for families – large children’s program *
The focus of the day is, of course, on the children and their families, who are offered a colorful and attractive all-round program: with the climbing tower of the Lövenich youth fire brigade, the make-up workshop, a giant slide, free pony rides, bouncy castle and crawling labyrinth, numerous attractions make children’s hearts beat faster.
The next Cologne Turft appointment will take place on Whit Monday, May 16, with the first classic of the Cologne gallop season, the Mehl-Mülhens race, German 2000 Guineas, endowed with 153,000 euros.
