In the pension scheme of the respective federal states, the liberal professions such as doctors and lawyers are recorded. Compulsory membership of the relevant pension funds brings with it numerous advantages and disadvantages for liberal professions.

What is a pension scheme??

The Versorgungswerk is a professional occupation for liberal professions. The pension funds cover the competent, liberal professions. These professions include: doctor, pharmacist, architect, notary, lawyer, veterinarian, accountant, accountant, auditor, dentist, psychotherapist and engineer. The pension funds are a public pension system and thus take over the retirement for the participating liberal professions with chamber affiliation.

Today there are 85 different pension plans in Germany. The pension funds are organized in the working group of professional care institutions. Most pension funds are institutions or public bodies. Pension scheme: development and special features

The pension schemes of the liberal professions were created in the 20s of the 20th century. In 1923, the Bavarian medical care for doctors, dentists and veterinarians. Pension scheme: advantages and disadvantages

Membership in the competent Versorgungswerk secures pensions for the liberal professions.
