Man is the be-all and end-all of entrepreneurial
success
Work and organizational psychologists support the search, further development and permanent motivation of employees and have answers to key questions:
How do you recognize the most competent and creative applicant? How can stress and strain at the workplace be reduced in order to keep employees healthy, fit for work and motivated for a long time? How can the innovative ability of employees, teams and the overall organization be increased in a targeted manner??
In our interdisciplinary course, you will deal intensively with these and many other questions and acquire the necessary specialist knowledge to shape the working world of tomorrow with all its interpersonal, economic and social challenges.
How is the course structured??
In the first three semesters you will deal with the basics of psychology and psychological methods and develop your personal, social and methodological skills in a targeted manner.
Then there are occupational and organizational psychological topics such as Communication and cooperation, work motivation and leadership or personnel selection and organizational development in the foreground. In minor subjects such as business administration, philosophy and law, you also acquire important additional qualifications for your later professional career.
In the fifth and sixth semesters, the focus is on the practical application of your acquired knowledge. As part of an interdisciplinary project, you will train to scientifically work on practical questions and to develop concrete solutions together. You will also complete a practical semester or a semester abroad.
In the seventh semester you complete your studies with the bachelor thesis.
Which professional fields are open to you?
As a work and organizational psychologist, you have a wide range of career opportunities. They work in the areas of personnel selection, management and development or are responsible for promoting occupational safety and humane work design. They deal with the development of company health management and the development of a corporate culture that promotes learning.
Further fields of application are organizational consulting, training and competence management, coaching and mentoring as well as knowledge and quality management.
What are the requirements??
The following entry requirements entitle you to start studying with us:
- General higher education entrance qualification or technical college entrance qualification
- a qualification recognized as equivalent or
- a qualification in vocational training (master craftsman, technical education, etc.)
For the psychology course in particular:
- Knowledge of German (level B2 certificate according to the Common European Framework (CEF))
- Interest in people, organizations and social issues
