The bluesign seals are awarded to textile products that have been produced with the lowest possible emissions. Bluesign excludes particularly polluting substances from the beginning of the manufacturing process, sets guidelines for the use of chemicals and controls their compliance.

Description: Pyua
The Kiel label Pyua celebrates its 10th birthday in 2018. In recent years, the outdoor brand, which produces ecorrect outerwear, has made a difference with its twelve employees.
Not only is Pyua a member of the Fair Wear Foundation (promoting better working conditions in the textile industry), the outdoor brand also produces apparel that is 100% recyclable. And even in the production completely made of recycled polyester. This is possible because Pyua works closely with a recycling company.
With its specially developed “Closed Loop Recycling”, the company endeavors to recycle used clothing from used clothing containers or specialist retailers in order to produce new products. The textiles, which consist almost exclusively of polyester, are broken down into granules, from which new polyester yarn can be obtained. Remnants such as zippers or buttons that can not be reused are further processed by downcycling.
Pyua has developed its own recycling principle
Compared to conventional polyester production, Pyua requires less than one fifth of its original energy during recycling. Also, the savings in CO2, the company can demonstrate in this way, is exemplary.
That Pyua too bluesign-Partner is (and 60 to 70% of the material is certified accordingly), not surprising. PFC and Teflon are also not available in the production and are also produced exclusively in Europe. The efforts of the recycling experts from Kiel have received numerous awards from various bodies in recent years.
Elsewhere, Pyua sets the tone: Last but not least, the brand surprised with a vegan alternative to animal down, which consists of 70% recycled fiber.
