How to prepare the dino cake:

The dough:
1. Preheat the oven to 165 ° C.

2. Put butter, sugar and a pinch of salt in a large mixing bowl. Beat the ingredients until they are foamy with a high-speed mixer for about five minutes.

3. If the butter mixture is foamy, add one egg after the other at a low setting so that a creamy and airy mixture is created. Tip: Should the mass not connect uniformly (so something else "grieselig" his), against Just add a tablespoon of flour.

4. Mix baking powder and flour together. Then the mixture is sieved so that there are no lumps in the cake afterwards. Now gradually add the flour to the butter mixture at a low setting.

5. Now just lift the chocolate drops under the dough with a spoon or dough scraper and the dough is ready for the dinosaur cake.

6. Divide the dough in half and put in a springform pan (Ø 24 cm). Bake the dough one by one in the oven for about 40 minutes. The cake should be completely cool for further processing.

The creme:
1. Whip the butter and powdered sugar until fluffy at the highest level of the mixer. Tip: The butter should turn really white, then it has opened just right.

2. Mix the chocolate pudding with two tablespoons of cocoa and heat it slightly (either in the microwave or briefly on the stove) until the pudding is lukewarm. It should not be too hot, otherwise the butter will melt.

3. Gradually pour the chocolate pudding under the butter mixture at the lowest setting. The whole thing not too much Long stir, so it stays nice and airy!

The structure and the decoration:
1. Now you have two cake bases and a pudding cream – in the coming steps these parts will now be put together to a delicious dino cake and finally decorated. Spread half of the pudding cream on the first cake base and place the second cake base on top.

2. Spread the rest of the cream on top of the cake and spread it smooth. Now the cake comes in the fridge for about two hours.

Before you spread the cream, you can have a dinosaur-footprint Spoon into the cake base at the top. Simply take a small spoon and hollow out the shape of the foot and smooth with a little pudding cream.

3. While the cake solidifies in the fridge, you have time to color the fondant and model two cute dinosaurs for the decoration. To do this, color a ball of fondant (about the size of a lime) blue and a ball with the food coloring orange. From this you model the little dinosaurs. For the eyes you can use two black sugar pearls and set two points with dark food coloring.

4. Another ball is colored green. From this you form the leaves. To do this, roll out the green ball with some icing sugar and a rolling pin (or a clean glass bottle). You can cut out the leaves with a knife or, if available, with a suitable one Cookie cutters outdo.

5. The rest of the fondant is colored brown. Tip: So that the cake gets an "earthy" impression afterwards, knead it only as long as it looks grainy (and not until it is completely colored).

6. When the cake has cooled down, take it out of the fridge. Now roll out the brown fondant with some icing sugar and cover the entire cake.

7. With a pizza roller (or a small knife) you can easily cut around the cake and remove the excess of the fondant. From the excess you can form small stones with which the cake can be decorated.

8th. Finally, place the two dinosaurs, the leaves and the stones on and around the cake. To make the decoration last better, use a small drop of water as an adhesive. Tip: If you still have small bone-shaped sugar sprinkles, they will also go perfectly with the dino cake!
